One thing I've been thinking about is the possibility of increasing the buff cap. I've always been a fan of capping it at 175 since that allows level 500 players to have the same limit as anyone higher above, but as we get people who are higher and higher it might be nice to give them the opportunity to increase the cap. Without completely breaking the buffing market, I want to suggest being able to increase buffs beyond level 175, but anything above that mark would only be castable upon yourself. There could also be a penalty involved where anything above level 150 (not including Fury Shrine here) would require 2 skill points up to 155, 3 skill points up to 160, etc.

Obviously we would not want UB to ever be cast at level 200, but this could potentially work for other buffs. Thoughts?

Does this mean if I increase the spell I can't cast the lower level versions on other players? I don't like that.

I do however like the idea of being able to increase skill level. Perhaps introduce new higher level quests that would allow you to break the limit on individual skills. That way the developers can pick which skills can be increased and which can't. Maybe even sink some gold and stam along the way, everybody is happy.

Here comes a really bad idea

how about (say) you want to upgrade CONS to 155, you have to have BM and LF to 150 at-least. If CONS at 175, BM and FL should atleast at 170. So you dont really waste skill points, but placing it in skills you dont really need :)

This time the cap should be at 175 instead of the previous 150... What do you guys think?

Never thought about that. Of course I'd like to be able to go both ways, but I think once you increase the cap then you're stuck only having it on yourself. There has to be a drawback to the increase in the buff level.

Also, another thing I did not think about. I'd probably be against that, and just keep the minimums as they are.

This could be fixed by disconnecting the "Activate Skill on Self" and "Activate Skill on Target" option, meaning you can cast a higher level on yourself, but casting on others is a fixed level.
