It changes nothing in terms of you guys still being the best.


But this would test us, hell, some competition might actually improve us more.

It's a complex problem; a complex fix is probably what's required to best address it.


I'm in favour of minimal intervention initially - if the TKPs don't sort things because of a speed disparity then maybe introduce a complex coding solution involving caching movement to 4 per second (as an opt in). I just don't think that is the fundamental issue, because any broadband connection is more than adequate for titan hunting right now.


TKP is in itself a complicated fix compared to the options HCS has put forth in the past two days, RJ :)

Which both suck, and which I voted against and made my thoughts known :)

TKPs are one more variable in a game full of them.
The movement suggestion is completely unlike anything else in the game, to the extent that I'm not convinced HCS could code for it correctly in the first place.

Hence, I would rather see the former implemented first, to test the simpler of 2 possibilites.

For experienced hunters, the speed difference might be important. For the average Joe voting 'yes' to the HCS suggestions it is the ease of reward, not the speed of movement, which prevents them bothering (at least in my eyes). As I said, it's a good idea, but maybe over-engineering the issue.

I really like this poll , compared to what was offered before, and NO, not because it was from a guildmate and friend of mine. This poll has way more options than what was offered by HCS.

I agree fully with you on that one. Obviously HCS isn't going to take every suggestion and run with it. Though one would hope they would consider the top buzz and modify it a little if they must.

Voted as well :) Congrats for the idea leo, i believe this poll gives a much cleared image of potential tweaks that could be made..Now waiting for cows to come in and cross what they dont like/cant inmlement easily

No as that would upset WAY to many people who currently own the items for personal use.

I would like to suggest another possible feature: multiple titans spawning.

Now a really really fast hunter can easily beat a guild with 2 or 3 folks. I've seen some hunters who seriously cover huge parts of a map. To give other, slower hunters ( the ones with normal internet connection) a proper chance to some kills we should have 2 titans spawn in the map, both counting towards the same titan.

It speeds up the titan hunting a bit and thus could make it more interesting for more people and it gives less fast people a chance on some kills aswell.

Let me know what you think.

hmm.... Good work, leos.


I am not a fan of limiting hunters myself at all and believe that should be a last resort. Same with the time-out, but that's more reasonable than hunter limit. (Voted for unlimited on both though)

RP, should NEVER have been linked to titans. As well as not being used to create Epics... anywho, TKP seems like an excellent suggestion. I'm fond of Graves idea about making it a type of tiered component thing.... with the items requiring bits from lower titans as well, of course. Can't remember if that was all Graves or a bit was added, but yeah. Nice quick tradable reward is better than fixed points for most.


Movement.... no clue about it, so won't vote either way.



P.S. leos, you owe me a bottle of scotch or vodka for every titan you guys (have) kill(ed) or the hate mail and death threats starts up again! o.O

I think that we can suggest whatever we want for 2nd to 5th place rewards, whether its component, titan specific points or global titan points or whether its the same titan epic as currently or new ones, but HCS will take the idea and transform it into something that's easier to code/weird. As long as they understand that it is full-fledged epics that are separate from any non-titan area of the game I am okay with it.

Just a minor point - to encourage competition I would extend the tallying beyond the 1st-5th place leaderboard, because 400 kills in 6th place deserve close to the same reward as 401 kills in 5th (for example).

Otherwise, that's a pretty good summary - once your guild racks up enough kills over multiple titans to have killed 1 titan in total, you get the drop.

That's the same if you get 1% per titan or 100% per titan - and on average will result in exactly the same number of drops coming into the game, just split between the big guilds (lots of drops) and the small guilds (one drop every 7-8 hunts looks doable).
