Well this is my third guild.

1st guild: Demon Legion. I was there from level 6-maybe 21. I liked it there but shortly after I joined EVERYONE went inactive. I stayed as long as I could but I couldn't stand it anymore.

2nd guild: The Darkest Hour. There about level 23-30. Liked it there but once again almost everyone went inactive and the guild founder left.

3rd guild: The White Dragon. I have been here from level 30-94. I like it a lot here. Great atmosphere and a lot of fun. Although there are some activity problems I hope to be here for the long run.

Guild 1: A guild with just me and a RL friend who I got to play.
Guild 2: Both of us moved to an already established guild when we were in our... 50s?
Guild 3: Guild 2 started to have some issues, so the founder raped it for everything he could, it broke up, and I moved to my 3rd (when I was somewhere between 201-224) where I still am.

Im not sure exactly how to answer this except by explaining so here goes.

Ive been in MANY guilds through my tour but I am loyal to Ewoks since January of 07 when I first started playing so IF you count the tour Ive been in 8+ easy but if not then just 2 but one was a guild that I created that never took off and so I joined Cadel in The Ewoks.

ummmm, does forgetting how many guilds you have been in count as being a Guild Hopper??? I put 8+, even though I know roughly how many I was in
Started in The White Dragon, they got hacked so left
Tavern Brawlers, left to help a friend
New Era, Helped them gain some levels when they were a Leveling Guild
Turins Companions, left to do some GvG
New Era, did some Guild Vs Guild till I got kicked, could not do enough GvGs
Tavern Brawlers, got kicked for not leveling enough for them(I hate to level!!! )
Now Guildless, and going to stay that why for a while now that I look at what a terrible person I am at staying in Guilds.

It's Interesting reading this thread. While reading it something dawned on me. You see the Top 10 guilds sometimes recruiting, saying they only want the best of the best of Fallen Sword, Great players, No Guild Hoppers, etc. But yet their requirements are so strict and you have to be at such a high level , if you want to join any of the top guilds and you aren't already IN the top guilds, you have to basically take advantage of all the amenities that another guild has to offer to build you up to the required level to join the top guild you want, and then you have to Guild Hop to join them.

I agree with this, had I not been fortunate enough to join Ewoks when they were first starting out I really dont think Id have ever been in a top guild at all. Top guilds sometimes become that way by getting smaller guys and building them up into great players for that guild and I think sometimes these things are forgotten. Getting someone at a low level isnt a bad thing, you just have to give them a chance to prove their worth for your guild in my opinion.

Not counting the guild or two I sat in while in transition.

Level '5' to '100' Soulless Worrios: Grew stagnant, inactive founder, leaders who couldn't agree or work well together. So one leader broke off taking some of the most active, and goofiest people.

I stayed guildless for about a week or so just farming and upgrading my character whilst

100-159 Valhallas Unforgiven:.... feels like I was in that guild forever. With the group even longer. Was Co Founder there. People started going inactive, and I started going nutz. Recruited one awesome player who eventually was Co Founder and kept me sane for a little while longer. Left during the rough holiday seasons while I was about to have a nervous breakdown. lol

159-209 (209-124) O.o Celtic Warriors: Had fun while it lasted. Joined around Christmas and had a bit of a turbulant time, at first. (Nothing about the guild, mind you) Had some say bout GvG while there and had fun getting RP for the guilds buff packs and whatnot. But a heated argument and my good friends leaving to FFS kind of took away the home-ness feel I would've had.

So I stayed in my solo guild 'Inglorious' for a week or so PvPing and deciding.

124-135(?) GutBusters Brigade: Had fun chatting with cyrus, Ted, and greg. But wasn't the place for me.

So I left and stayed guildless for a wee bit. releveled and gained a level here and there while alone.

135 to now (? no damn clue) Order of the Eternal Dawn: Seems calm and more layed back than I'm use to. But Xoulou is a kind and goofy founder, from what I can tell. Just need time to think if this is the 'right' place for good ole Reg....

Guess that makes me a heartless "guild hopper" eh? lol

Asphaltanza, Warrior Kings. I stayed guildless for a while, then had a short stay in Zombie Punks when it first started to help friends with funding, recruiting and things. Came to RA around September/October of last year.

Was recruited to gunslingers my first day on FS, total noob.... left at level 65 ( still a noob, but guild was in decay) Went to The Dwarven Forge from 65 - 430 (strong small guild where I was molded into the player I am now :) ) But I needed a change in game and the PvP element of game had interested me for a very long time so I joined Warrior Kings, where I know many players.Awesome times. 8)

Now, where did i put my gold?

All of which is exactly why I'll never leave Sun to join a "top guild".

If a player isn't good enough to join one of those guilds then the point is moot.

If they are, they became a great player with a great character and accomplishments due mostly, if not entirely, to the guild that supported them. How exactly is another guild, except in cases of guild death or complete change of playstyle, going to improve on that?

It's not going to, is the short answer.
