I have been actively giving someone () a hard time using the FS Box for selling Arena setups. Now this may seem strange to some people BUT my problem is that admitted to me he had been copying other peoples sets. The thought of someone winning in the arena after copying another persons set is dispicable enough, to then sell the setup (or most likely a slightly inferior version) to someone else disturbs me greatly.

The fact that has some of the best arena players listed as enemies, just makes it easier for him to see when they are online and copy their sets. I know I used to have other Arena champs like Rebb and FNFA listed as my enemies because i would either stop entering when they came online (no im not kidding) or I'd have moves set up for them.

The ability to spy peoples setups has been a major arena flaw for a long time.
I recall Spiralbern making a post about it over a year ago and many people made various comments and suggestions about an arena "change room". Or a buff that would work making your setup invisible for a very short time etc..

I know there are a lot of extremely smart players out there who could come up with a way to stop these set ups scabs making a profit. Will every medal in this game be a laughing stock like the hoarder/dominance conspiracy. I hope not.

I'd appreciate all your thoughts and ideas.

*EDITED BY ADMIN*

Do not post the players name. This is against the rules.

leave top 20, join less tournaments & randomly, and you will be fine, it's worked for me... nobody spies on my setups despite 80-90% winning rate now ;)

:lol: it won't help... :P
for me, the arena has never been about "magic" setups, I change them depending on who is online. The arena is all about "designing on the fly" skills and ability to understand the combats between players in the history of tournaments..... and also not being lazy to change setups and moves :lol:

To me arena is about big bucks to spend on hundreds of items to change sets. :roll:

You can design many competitive setups with Common items and join only those tournaments where the stats of epic and fully forged items do not count.

Some call it spying, I call it watching gamefilm which is readily available. Really no difference, It can and will happen, nothing really you can do about it. Just always design a setup intended to beat the setup you just created, nothing more great than beating someone who stole your setup thinking they could beat you.

No offense intended to the OP, but publicly calling someone names for doing something perfectly legal within the mechanics of the game is certainly not the way to go. At least, not if you value your in-game time. I've been suspended for far less. Please be careful.

That's why I have VenomSheru as my enemy. :P
I just can't seem to beat that guy and I usually end up having him in the first round. :)

learn why you lose and make changes, eventually you will start beating that guy till he makes changes :lol: I like when arena is like that... but I would love to challenge these guys in the tournaments with real prizes like 100,000,000 gold, that would be interesting ;)

Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.

Since this setup has almost equal Damage-Armor stats, we can only assume there are some players out there using this setup and will inflict as much damage on you should you two meet.

If you're up against Defensive players, they will not have enough damage to defeat you without Piercing Strike. PS will activate Counter Attack almost every time, we will want to put some CA's somewhere within the first 4 moves while trying to take out armor players in the first strike.

I suggest the following move set for starters;

Moves : PWR-CA-PWR-CA-Spin-Spin

LEVEL 55 SETUPS

NON- COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (same as above due to high defense and damage)

Ghostly Stare
Reborn Cerberus Ring
Undead Spine Eye
Plague Boots

Stats:
Attack : 573
Damage : 828
Defense : 0
Armor : 589
HP : 100

Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.

This setup has heavy damage but low armor, which goes to say, you'd want to get the first strike on armor/damage opponents, and THEN face the defensive players.

There are 2 choices you have to make for the first combat move against similar Armor/Damage opponents.

Power Attack gives 100% more damage vs Basic Attack as well as additional 20% damage for future attacks.
However, the moves Defend & Block will bring the damage inflicted to zero.

Critical Hit on the other hand gives 2x damage 80% of the time, 3x damage 10% of the time and fumbles 10% of the time BUT can penetrate Defend & Block causing 5% and 10% more damage respectively.

Spin Attacks immediately after PWR or CH is desirable to maximize chances of taking out Defensive opponents. 1-hit kill is almost certain as they will have low armor.

I suggest the following move set for starters;

Moves : CH-Spin-Spin-Spin

Lesser Santork Hat
Lesser Reindeer Candy
Lesser Reindeer Antlers
Reborn Cerberus Ring
Thonomoths Armor
Reborn Cerberus Shield
Undead Spine Eye
Plague Boots (For Level 62-69 Use Galdwing Boots)

Stats:
Attack : 458 (531)
Damage : 703 (666)
Defense : 0
Armor : 780 (814)
HP : 100 (78)

Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.

For the 60-61 setup has marginally more damage than armor. There aren't many items at this level which offers higher damage than the Lesser Set which probably suggests other opponents are likely to have similar stats.

For the 62-69, using Galdwing Boots, you are equipped with heavy armor, and that gives you the option of sitting out with Counter Attacks as possible winning moves.

Spin Attacks immediately after PWR or CH (and/or CA's) is desirable to maximize chances of taking out Defensive opponents. 1-hit kill is almost certain as they will have low armor.

I suggest the following move set for starters;

Level 60-61 Moves : CH-Spin-Spin-Spin
Level 62-69 Moves : PWR-CA-PWR-CA-Spin-Spin

Stats:
Attack : 454 (483)
Damage : 811 (666)
Defense : 0
Armor : 770 (876)
HP : 78

Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.

This setup is pretty unique, where you can swing in favor of Armor or Damage.
By using Boots of Almar, you have Damage higher than Armor.
Using Galdwing Boots, you have Armor higher than Damage of both sets.

2 ways to play this, either go with Boots of Almar and capitalize on Power Attack giving 20% more damage on consecutive attacks or go with Counter Attack combos to sit out low damage opponents and defensive sets. personally, i would go with the latter.

I suggest the following move set for starters;

Moves : (With Boots or Almar) PWR-PWR-Spin-Spin-Spin
Moves : (With Galdwing Boots) PWR-CA-PWR-CA-Spin-Spin

Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.

When Dark Spine comes into the picture, you will find most opponents going damage-heavy, and so will you.

There are 2 choices you have to make for the first combat move against similar Armor/Damage opponents.

Power Attack gives 100% more damage vs Basic Attack as well as additional 20% damage for future attacks.
However, the moves Defend & Block will bring the damage inflicted to zero.

This setup is heavy on Armor, I would suggest again, sitting out with Counter Attacks after the first strike.

I suggest the following move set for starters;

Moves : PWR-CA-PWR-CA-Spin-Spin

Gauntlets of Decay
Helmet of Decay
Armor of Decay
Rune of Decay (for level 94-99, consider rune of Pellm)
Shield of the Deep
Dark Spine Flail
Amulet of Clak
Ring of Alcast
Boots of Palemaz

Stats:
Attack : 386
Damage : 1178
Defense : 49
Armor : 968
HP : 39

Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.

The Decay set offers good Damage/Armor up to Level 99 and is the top choice of most players.
Used with the Dark Spine flail, this setup is Damage heavy, and needs to make quick kills.
When used with Rune of Pellm, you lose the Decay bonus, but the armor should hold up for you to use CA's

There are 2 choices you have to make for the first combat move against similar Armor/Damage opponents.

Power Attack gives 100% more damage vs Basic Attack as well as additional 20% damage for future attacks.
However, the moves Defend & Block will bring the damage inflicted to zero.

Moves (with Rune of Pellm) : PWR-CA-PWR-CASpin-Spin-Spin

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
hello again, these setups have changed as the new helm has come to play
i have not recently tested any of these setups with the helm so we are going to skip. defense armor is useless because of the helm so we'll go to the unbeatable...
120-149 setup. (it is unbeatable and will give you a win against any armor setup at that level unless you are facing that same setup)
Krimson Kardic Helm
Ogalith Fiery Grasps
Mancrusha Set
Writhing Ward
Rune of decay
Dark Spine Flail.
you can play in these arenas as you only need to be 120 in level
either use counter or power first move.
MOVES: FAQ
crush kills spin if it meets
counter beats piercing strike
crush cannot be countered
power is strongest hit. but critical could increase even more damage however it could fumble.
power beats counter.
counter works 20%-25% against spin
defend cannot be crushed nor blocked except by crush or critical hit
weaken is good against defense if you are armor setup
make sure you avoid matching your spins with their crushs if you are armor setup.
i.e: easy two hit kill if you are playing defense against armor
Piercing Strike (totally annihilate their armor) against POWER ATTACK MISS
Spin Attack
i.e: easy lose if you are playing defense
Piercing Strike (annihilate armor) against COUNTER.(HITS 100% on piecring strike) KO
YOU LOSEEEE!!!
it is risky if you are playing on either both sides. its the luck on who you face.
there are many other situations. good luck and have fun
LOL, I think some of those setups will work quite well in the arena.
Whats strikes me as funny is you only have 8 wins yourself, yet you choose show yourself off in this post. Oh well lets hope your intentions were good.
I think avvakums point about knowing who is online entering and what types of sets/moves they use is a very good one. With the ever increasing number of new sets and more people now having access to the epics, the actual setups are not as important.
Its still very frustrating when through trial and error you work out a set that truly has a good chance of winning, only then to have all your effort wasted because some lazy thief comes along an spoils it. Yes its been the way the arena has worked since day one, but to sell the setups you have stolen disgusted me to the point where i had to post something.
Sorry to be yet another whiner, next time I will be sure to gloat (seems to be the more popular choice)
LEVEL 50 SETUPS
(Applicable to tourneys Level 50-Level 54)
NON- COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (same as above due to high defense and damage)
Lesser Santork Claws
Reborn Cerberus Armor
Reborn Cerberus Shield
Stats:
Attack : 433
Damage : 690
Defense : 0
Armor : 696
HP : 119
Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.
Since this setup has almost equal Damage-Armor stats, we can only assume there are some players out there using this setup and will inflict as much damage on you should you two meet.
If you're up against Defensive players, they will not have enough damage to defeat you without Piercing Strike. PS will activate Counter Attack almost every time, we will want to put some CA's somewhere within the first 4 moves while trying to take out armor players in the first strike.
I suggest the following move set for starters;
Moves : PWR-CA-PWR-CA-Spin-Spin
COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (FORGING ALLOWED)
Warriors Guard
Enclosed Helmet
Amulet of Zhann
Lesser Reindeer Antlers
Frozen Chest Plate
Fire Dragon Shield
LEVEL 55 SETUPS
(Applicable to tourneys Level 50-Level 59)
NON- COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (same as above due to high defense and damage)
Lesser Santork Claws
Lesser Santork Hat
Lesser Reindeer Candy
Ghostly Shackles
Ghostly Corset
Ghostly Stare
Reborn Cerberus Ring
Undead Spine Eye
Plague Boots
Stats:
Attack : 573
Damage : 828
Defense : 0
Armor : 589
HP : 100
Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.
This setup has heavy damage but low armor, which goes to say, you'd want to get the first strike on armor/damage opponents, and THEN face the defensive players.
There are 2 choices you have to make for the first combat move against similar Armor/Damage opponents.
Power Attack gives 100% more damage vs Basic Attack as well as additional 20% damage for future attacks.
However, the moves Defend & Block will bring the damage inflicted to zero.
Critical Hit on the other hand gives 2x damage 80% of the time, 3x damage 10% of the time and fumbles 10% of the time BUT can penetrate Defend & Block causing 5% and 10% more damage respectively.
Spin Attacks immediately after PWR or CH is desirable to maximize chances of taking out Defensive opponents. 1-hit kill is almost certain as they will have low armor.
I suggest the following move set for starters;
Moves : CH-Spin-Spin-Spin
COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (FORGING ALLOWED)
LEVEL 60 SETUPS
(Applicable to tourneys Level 60-Level 69)
NON- COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (same as above due to high defense and damage)
Lesser Santork Claws
Lesser Santork Hat
Lesser Reindeer Candy
Lesser Reindeer Antlers
Reborn Cerberus Ring
Thonomoths Armor
Reborn Cerberus Shield
Undead Spine Eye
Plague Boots (For Level 62-69 Use Galdwing Boots)
Stats:
Attack : 458 (531)
Damage : 703 (666)
Defense : 0
Armor : 780 (814)
HP : 100 (78)
Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.
For the 60-61 setup has marginally more damage than armor. There aren't many items at this level which offers higher damage than the Lesser Set which probably suggests other opponents are likely to have similar stats.
For the 62-69, using Galdwing Boots, you are equipped with heavy armor, and that gives you the option of sitting out with Counter Attacks as possible winning moves.
There are 2 choices you have to make for the first combat move against similar Armor/Damage opponents.
Power Attack gives 100% more damage vs Basic Attack as well as additional 20% damage for future attacks.
However, the moves Defend & Block will bring the damage inflicted to zero.
Critical Hit on the other hand gives 2x damage 80% of the time, 3x damage 10% of the time and fumbles 10% of the time BUT can penetrate Defend & Block causing 5% and 10% more damage respectively.
Spin Attacks immediately after PWR or CH (and/or CA's) is desirable to maximize chances of taking out Defensive opponents. 1-hit kill is almost certain as they will have low armor.
I suggest the following move set for starters;
Level 60-61 Moves : CH-Spin-Spin-Spin
Level 62-69 Moves : PWR-CA-PWR-CA-Spin-Spin
COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (FORGING ALLOWED)
******************************************************************************************
LEVEL 70 SETUPS
(Applicable to tourneys Level 70-Level 74)
NON- COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (same as above due to high defense and damage)
Lesser Santork Claws
Lesser Santork Hat
Lesser Reindeer Candy
Lesser Reindeer Antlers
Reborn Cerberus Ring
Reborn Leaf Armor
Reborn Leaf Shield
Undead Spine Eye
Boots of Almar (or Galdwing Boots)
Stats:
Attack : 454 (483)
Damage : 811 (666)
Defense : 0
Armor : 770 (876)
HP : 78
Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.
This setup is pretty unique, where you can swing in favor of Armor or Damage.
By using Boots of Almar, you have Damage higher than Armor.
Using Galdwing Boots, you have Armor higher than Damage of both sets.
2 ways to play this, either go with Boots of Almar and capitalize on Power Attack giving 20% more damage on consecutive attacks or go with Counter Attack combos to sit out low damage opponents and defensive sets. personally, i would go with the latter.
I suggest the following move set for starters;
Moves : (With Boots or Almar) PWR-PWR-Spin-Spin-Spin
Moves : (With Galdwing Boots) PWR-CA-PWR-CA-Spin-Spin
COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (FORGING ALLOWED)
LEVEL 75 SETUPS
NON- COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (same as above due to high defense and damage)
Lesser Santork Claws
Lesser Reindeer Candy
Dark Spine Helm
Dark Spine Flail
Reborn Cerberus Ring
Reborn Leaf Armor
Reborn Leaf Shield
Boots of Almar
Undead Spine Eye (Level 77-79 use Rune of Darklore)
Stats:
Attack : 461
Damage : 1072
Defense : 9
Armor : 661
HP : 34
Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.
When Dark Spine comes into the picture, you will find most opponents going damage-heavy, and so will you.
There are 2 choices you have to make for the first combat move against similar Armor/Damage opponents.
Power Attack gives 100% more damage vs Basic Attack as well as additional 20% damage for future attacks.
However, the moves Defend & Block will bring the damage inflicted to zero.
Critical Hit on the other hand gives 2x damage 80% of the time, 3x damage 10% of the time and fumbles 10% of the time BUT can penetrate Defend & Block causing 5% and 10% more damage respectively.
Spin Attacks immediately after PWR or CH is desirable to maximize chances of taking out Defensive opponents. 1-hit kill is almost certain as they will have low armor.
I suggest the following move set for starters;
Moves : PWR-PWR-Spin-Spin-Spin or CH-Spin-Spin-Spin
NON- COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS
Gloves of the Deep
Helm of the Deep
Shield of the Deep
Dark Spine Flail
Reborn Cerberus Ring
Rune of Darklore
Lesser Reindeer Candy
Reborn Leaf Armor
Boots of Almar
Stats:
Attack : 306
Defense : -6
Armor : 878
HP : 82
COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (FORGING ALLOWED)
Lesser Santork Claws
I've had consistent wins with this set thus far, and have even tried tourneys up to Level 106 with occasional success.
******************************************************************************************
LEVEL 85 SETUPS
(Applicable to tourneys Level 80-Level 89)
NON- COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (same as above due to high defense and damage)
Gloves of the Deep
Helm of the Deep
Shield of the Deep
Dark Spine Flail
Reborn Leaf Armor
Amulet of Clak
Ring of Clak
Rune of Clak
Boots of Palemaz
Stats:
Attack : 319
Damage : 841
Defense : 38
Armor : 1113
HP : 87
Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.
This setup is heavy on Armor, I would suggest again, sitting out with Counter Attacks after the first strike.
I suggest the following move set for starters;
Moves : PWR-CA-PWR-CA-Spin-Spin
COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (FORGING ALLOWED)
******************************************************************************************
LEVEL 90 SETUPS
(Applicable to tourneys Level 90-Level 99)
NON- COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (same as above due to high defense and damage)
Gauntlets of Decay
Helmet of Decay
Armor of Decay
Rune of Decay (for level 94-99, consider rune of Pellm)
Shield of the Deep
Dark Spine Flail
Amulet of Clak
Ring of Alcast
Boots of Palemaz
Stats:
Attack : 386
Damage : 1178
Defense : 49
Armor : 968
HP : 39
Since we have no Defense Kits for this level, we can use this armor setup for Move tourneys.
I suggest trying the following move combo if you have no-ideas to start with.
The Decay set offers good Damage/Armor up to Level 99 and is the top choice of most players.
Used with the Dark Spine flail, this setup is Damage heavy, and needs to make quick kills.
When used with Rune of Pellm, you lose the Decay bonus, but the armor should hold up for you to use CA's
There are 2 choices you have to make for the first combat move against similar Armor/Damage opponents.
Power Attack gives 100% more damage vs Basic Attack as well as additional 20% damage for future attacks.
However, the moves Defend & Block will bring the damage inflicted to zero.
Critical Hit on the other hand gives 2x damage 80% of the time, 3x damage 10% of the time and fumbles 10% of the time BUT can penetrate Defend & Block causing 5% and 10% more damage respectively.
Spin Attacks immediately after PWR or CH is desirable to maximize chances of taking out Defensive opponents. 1-hit kill is almost certain as they will have low armor.
I suggest the following move set for starters;
Moves : PWR-PWR-Spin-Spin-Spin or CH-Spin-Spin-Spin
Moves (with Rune of Pellm) : PWR-CA-PWR-CASpin-Spin-Spin
COMBAT MOVE TOURNEYS (FORGING ALLOWED)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

hello again, these setups have changed as the new helm has come to play

i have not recently tested any of these setups with the helm so we are going to skip. defense armor is useless because of the helm so we'll go to the unbeatable...

120-149 setup. (it is unbeatable and will give you a win against any armor setup at that level unless you are facing that same setup)

Krimson Kardic Helm
Ogalith Fiery Grasps
Mancrusha Set
Writhing Ward
Rune of decay
Dark Spine Flail.

you can play in these arenas as you only need to be 120 in level

either use counter or power first move.

MOVES: FAQ

crush kills spin if it meets
counter beats piercing strike
crush cannot be countered
power is strongest hit. but critical could increase even more damage however it could fumble.
power beats counter.
counter works 20%-25% against spin
defend cannot be crushed nor blocked except by crush or critical hit
weaken is good against defense if you are armor setup
make sure you avoid matching your spins with their crushs if you are armor setup.

i.e: easy two hit kill if you are playing defense against armor

Piercing Strike (totally annihilate their armor) against POWER ATTACK MISS
Spin Attack

i.e: easy lose if you are playing defense

Piercing Strike (annihilate armor) against COUNTER.(HITS 100% on piecring strike) KO
YOU LOSEEEE!!!

it is risky if you are playing on either both sides. its the luck on who you face.

there are many other situations. good luck and have fun

That was such a spam I had to be involved LOL

LOL, I think some of those setups will work quite well in the arena.

Whats strikes me as funny is you only have 8 wins yourself, yet you choose show yourself off in this post. Oh well lets hope your intentions were good.

I think avvakums point about knowing who is online entering and what types of sets/moves they use is a very good one. With the ever increasing number of new sets and more people now having access to the epics, the actual setups are not as important.

Its still very frustrating when through trial and error you work out a set that truly has a good chance of winning, only then to have all your effort wasted because some lazy thief comes along an spoils it. Yes its been the way the arena has worked since day one, but to sell the setups you have stolen disgusted me to the point where i had to post something.

Sorry to be yet another whiner, next time I will be sure to gloat (seems to be the more popular choice)

Yea I have 8 wins... I dont do the Arena I played with it for a week maybe. To me its as boring as killing rats... just figured a few would be able to use some the sets and some of the advice... *shrugging shoulders*

Just found out the Setups you posted were actually (Outdated) FFS's set ups copied from their forum?

Thanks for hijacking the thread Metalus, maybe the problem with this game is the amount of pubescent douchbags playing it...*shrugging shoulders*
