Here's the problem: People at (or near) EOC, is finding PvP to be 'fun' again. Why's this? because you can 100 stam WHOMEVER you wish, with almost no fear of losing levels.

WHY?

because, (as a glance at the Bounty Board RIGHT NOW would show) players at EOC have stats that most players at most of any other range CANT touch...

Now im sure you people are wondering why this is a problem...

lets say player A: level 920 or so hits player B: Level 922

Player B can bounty Player A all they want, and Player A will have *almost* no fear of being deleveled... if sitting in the right gear ;)

i see this as a problem... and as a good reason that XP loss be escalated to a degree, the higher someone got in levels

*wears anti-flammatory suit* ;)

I'd like to know why you feel you should be able to smack someone that far above you in levels without having to do any of the work gaining levels to wear the gear they have?

im not saying i should, nor do i expect to be able to... but id imagine to hit someone wearing 9k attack, 15k defense, wearing NV, would have to be someone not far from that level itself... and could you imagine trying to organize a delevel on such a player?

Leveling up should have benefits, and godly stats compared to players 200-300 or 500 levels below EOC is one of those ;)

It's not as difficult as you think if you know what you are doing ;)

Yup .... plus the difficulty for most to clear/delevel them is a decent way of off-setting the stam it takes to gain back the same amount of levels, me thinks.

Watch the board there lately, Frost. Some frackers have been going up every so often. A Few EOC guys included. ;)

I like the fact that they have MUCH better gear than us, makes it a big challenge to beat on the board.

I could clear that bounty as long as they didn't have any other buffs on em. I wouldn't win every combat but that's not a requirement for bounty hunters. I would go in expecting to lose around 4-8 times, maybe more, maybe less depending on luck.

And i love the new exp loss changes. The high level players are just getting started, cant wait to see what happens when more of em realize pvp is actually fun. :D

He was wearing alot more buffs ;)

the fact that they're starting to PvP more often is the best part of it... im half tempted to actually level xD

I almost had a level 923 cleared today, with the nearly 15k defense, almost 10k attack, and nmv cast, but someone beat me too it. And I know of several who are lower level then me who have done it. If you know what your doing, it is not an impossible thing to do. I personally love the changes made to xp loss, and am loving seeing the higher level players become more active in pvp.

I don't understand the whining. Any setup can be beaten. I have cleared 8 players with more than 400 levels than I, most recently a player at EOC with buffs and potions that created a defense in excess of 22,000. Quality PvP players will be able to look at a setup and figure out a way to win. Now, don't get me wrong, it can take quite a while to win against players at EOC, but I agree with the statements made that they have earned the sets that they can use at their level.

Anyone can be beaten,if you have the determination to figure out how to do it. Of course levels come into play as you get better gear the higher you go.Thats the way it should be,to a certain degree. It "should" be hard to clear higher level players "if" they know what they are doing  It's why i love PvP... the challenge and thinking that actually goes into smacking someone...whether it be a friendly clear...or a stomping. It would get pretty boring if it was always easy.

One of the many things I have learned through my PvP adventure so far is, that nomatter what you wear, at least a bunch of players will be able to figure out how to break through it.. although I could imagine the fun it could be if the EOC players starts dancing instead of just relying on that one setup ^_^

Oh, and I do love how so many fine members of such a fine guild in which leveling is the cause of ridicule (almost) jumps in to kinda defend those at EOC lol

No one can deny that we changed this game and influenced it in such a way that NO ONE could compete with us.. so much so that they changed the rules. ~Abhorrence, chosen founder of Cerulean Sins

I do not see this as whining on anyone's part and will reiterate that I mentioned this TIME and TIME again. That higher level players with vastly superior gear have a very limited number of people that can clear them and even an even more limited number of people that are willing to 100 stam them. As the BB is meant to be a tool to punish hitters it shouldn't punish the poster or the posters friends/allies that are trying to inflict the punishment.

I do so love my guildmates and their posts on here have merit, but what you see before my post is some of the most skilled PvPers in the game saying they can achieve these clears.

Im not entirely sure... the 'easy-fix' solution would be one where the % lost on attack/BB is on a sliding scale based on level, even if its +2% lost per 100 stam on BB per 100 levels gained, only bad part is, a level 900-1000 would lose ~29% of a level for every 100 stam hit they take... (not the best fix, im sure =\)

And would be a problem again at level 1200+ :)

If its any comforting at least keep in mind that 20% of a level for a lvl 900 player is 3 times the stam to gain back compared to a level 100..XP gain is also leveling the big guy up twice as slow compared to the small one.
