i see this as a problem...

what is the solution your wanting to see?

Im not entirely sure... the 'easy-fix' solution would be one where the % lost on attack/BB is on a sliding scale based on level, even if its +2% lost per 100 stam on BB per 100 levels gained, only bad part is, a level 900-1000 would lose ~29% of a level for every 100 stam hit they take... (not the best fix, im sure =\)

That would mean a 100 stam clear could take almost 3.5 levels ( @900-1000)? that would be going back to what it was before, which many argued was unfair. This new system makes the BB punishable to almost any level, the thing is ( like it has been stated) that the higher levels towards EOC are now becoming less and less punishable( it's not their fault, their leveling and enjoying game in their own way) But there are less players able to dish out some strong stompings to them, the higher they go in levels(which i agree, kinda sucks).... Kinda like a double edged sword.... everyone wanted lowered xp loss across the whole scale, and this is what happens....

This makes it tempting for me to level to 700 or 800  lol

And would be a problem again at level 1200+ :)

If its any comforting at least keep in mind that 20% of a level for a lvl 900 player is 3 times the stam to gain back compared to a level 100..XP gain is also leveling the big guy up twice as slow compared to the small one.

My number (2%*100 levels) was only a number thrown out there... its not TOO unreasonable... but i know its not a permanent fix...

perhaps XP Loss could be done like it is on several other games i know of that has such things:

Take the level of the attacker, compare it to the level of the defender, if attacker's Level is lower than the Defender's Level, the defender loses more XP by a fixed % added depending on the difference (+5% per 100 level difference?)

Example: level 920 player is bountied for mugging a player (unlikely... but realistic), a level 610 player takes the bounty, and successfully 100 stam hits the 920, taking a base of 10% of a level, [(920-610) "rounded to nearest hundered"/100]*5 = a total of 25% XP total loss on the hit

this would even allow an incorporation of XP Gained through PvP... to a degree

something like: 1/20 of bonus XP taken rewarded to attacker

but this is for another day;)

Exp lost on the bounty board has absolutely nothing to do with the amount of stamina required to gain it back.

The rules of the bounty board dictate 5 levels maximum irregardless of level.
Same tired argument, same tired explanation. New thread.

Just the new slant on it is that with 16k def and a flinch and constitution it now takes 12k attack (dc225) to hit people. Something that can only be obtained by level 600 ish players.

Yes, absolutely, i am not here to argue about XP lost vs stam cost, the current system does not generate the problems the old one used to with XP losses over the roof for EOC people. :)

Just pointing out that i already see the equal % across the levels to be "fair" and not in need of scaling as suggested.

Evolution. lol ... Do you even know why the 5 delevel limit was instituted? That was because TWP deleveled one player 48 times in 1 hour and 47 minutes with just two bounties, one being for only 8 kills. ;)

It must have been way before my time but i believe i have heard it was an extreme scenario the 5 level rule was imposed to prevent..Wow, I hope that much of a loss was deserved!

I'm not quite sure I understand the issue?

A level 100 has a hard time making a level 900 lose 20% of a level, but a level 900 has an easy time making a level 100 lose 0% of a level? Sounds to me like it's a one-way street as far as experience losses go...
