Raist, no offense, but you can level very, very rapidly out of range at the level you currently reside at.

PvP sub 150 and pvp past 400 are night and day. Players go hundreds of levels without being hit once. I understand your frustration, but you're operating on incomplete information here.

I don't get hit much, but I hit alot of people. Does that count? Basically unless you truly anger someone...theres bound to be a reason for repeat attacks. Ie: too much gold, Trash talk, hiring mercs...or something along those lines.

Raist, change the I BOUNTY YOU or whatever it is in your bio, make some PvP friends ( if it truly interests you), then hopefuly have your guild help delevel the repeat attacker.

Once out of their range...your home free. ;)

I think running and hiding won't help either, someone said you bio message could cause it,well you have the guts to put NO QUESTIONS ASKED, ,place your bounty no one should get away pushing you around, whatever you put in your bio someone will always want to take a hit at you.so...weather you have a PLEASE DON'T HIT ME message or NO QUESTION ASKED, you shouldn't be intimidated by anyone, those guys must have been the one gotten beaten up in high school so now they have the chance to lash out lol,sin cojones, lol

Current Flaws:
1) There is NO penalty to the aggressor for initiating an attack and failing - ie, NO gold loss or xp loss, only a PVP rating reduction (big flippin' deal).

I stopped reading after this, you have heard of Stamina, right?

Let me just say a few things:

1) I appreciate everyone's feedback - it's giving me a better perspective on things. However, everyone I've heard from is 200+ levels above me aside from Roan. I'm curious what other players in the 100-150 range feel about the abuse of pvp (and also at even lower levels).

2) As some have pointed out that perhaps my bio is a cause of repeated pvp attacks, I will change it - thank you for bringing this to my attention.

3) I truly am NOT completely opposed to pvp - I engage the arena quite often and enjoy it immensely because i can compete against others yet not have to lose xp for losing. As for regular PVP, well, we all tend to have an evil side of us that likes to come out and play sometimes, so yes, even i occasionally look for those who may have forgotten to bank their gold before logging off - it's a VERY rare occasion, but I will at least admit to it ;)

4) I don't consider using your stamina to initiate pvp a 'punishment' - attacking other people SHOULD cost you something, and it should cost you even more if you fail....period!

5) I agree my earlier suggestion about pvp tickets was probably a little over-the-top, but still feel that xp loss should apply to the aggressor with a loss.

6) I'm hoping that others that are getting pvp'd repeatedly (ie, pvp abuse) are receiving some potential help for getting themselves out of being attacked so frequently. To me, it's a shame that fallensword has lost so many players due to pvp aggression - i have several people i know that have quit the game because of this and know quite a few others considering quitting. I realize there are other games that do not have pvp, but fallensword has so many elements and parts of the game that make it very addictive - personally, I don't WANT to have to search out to find another game I could learn to enjoy. I already love this game, but in particular, it's the abuse of PVP that leaves me bitterly frustrated at times

Hopefully these revised comments will make sense to all - thanks =)

1) I'm only 100 levels above you, and spend most of my time in this game in the 150-160 level range.

4) agreed.

5) agreed.

6) I think that there are enough ways to stop abuse, if you know how.

pure speculation, people leave the game for various reasons, I don't know anyone who left FS due to pvp aggression, and I know many players that have returned to the game because of pvp wars between guilds and drama.

The arena is not PvP as people know and understand it. It operates under entirely different mechanisms. The only similarity between PvP and the arena is that both are strictly between players. From there, virtually every other aspect is different.

It does seem from your general response, however, that you may have begun to see the light. Good luck, raist.

Changing it by just removing the "No questions asked" part isn't going to do anything for you. It's still asking to get hit. All anything like that says is "I'm too scared to stand up and defend myself."

Your best bet is to just remove that all together, and either a) just bounty, or preferably, B) hit back. Quit being a doormat, stand up for yourself, or accept the hits.

Everyone higher level then you was your level at one time, so they have that perspective and also a perspective of a higher level player. Some people call that having more experience and insight then you... but feel free to ignore their sage advice.

3) I truly am NOT completely opposed to pvp - I engage the arena quite often and enjoy it immensely because i can compete against others yet not have to lose xp for losing.

So to be clear you hate that people can PvP lose and not suffer, however you "enjoy immensely" what you call pvping (the arena)and not being able to lose exp?

As for regular PVP, well, we all tend to have an evil side of us

Now PvPing is evil...

4) I don't consider using your stamina to initiate pvp a 'punishment' - attacking other people SHOULD cost you something, and it should cost you even more if you fail....period!

Maybe inventing, scavenging, and entering arenas should cost stam. If you fail then they should cost you more. After all you don't consider losing stam a 'punishment'.

5) I agree my earlier suggestion about pvp tickets was probably a little over-the-top, but still feel that xp loss should apply to the aggressor with a loss.

Right because, deflect, protect gold, the cost of buffing, the chance to lose, the possibility of the bounty aren't enough for you.

6) I'm hoping that others that are getting pvp'd repeatedly (ie, pvp abuse) are receiving some potential help for getting themselves out of being attacked so frequently.

Besides these options:
1 hour delay
Exp lock
deflect
leveling
bounting

Repeated attacks are not pvp abuse. It's part of the game.

Hopefully you will find a new game that doesn't have any adversity at all to it. That way you wont get your feelings hurt by 'evil people'. Just as a heads up on games not to play:

Chess - people will take your pieces
Checkers - see chess
Poker - people bluff and take your money or chips
Dodge ball - people throw balls at you
Uno - people skip you and make you Draw 4
Monopoly - you might land on someones property
Basketball - you might get the ball stolen from you
Baseball - someone might steal a base on you
Football - they have interceptions
Soccer - people take the ball from you
Lacrosse - people take the ball from you
Chutes and Ladders - some times you land on a chute

I'm always hopeful someone can explain to me why people play chess and don't complain about loosing pieces but people play Fallen Sword and someone does something completely within the rules and regulations of the game yet the person that it happens to cries and whines like a 5 year old. I mean they even put an age limit on the game, you would hope that would help limit this type of reaction.
