Still avoiding my point, Doom. lol

If we limit PvP like that, why not trading or even messaging in general?

Simply doesn't make sense in a 2D browser game.

Why messaging or trading? They could have pigeon mail.. ;)

ok, so all we need is a gold fee for each message sent and trade made, and we're good. :)

Think THAT'LL last long?

Why bring that in? Has absolutely nothing to do with needing to be 'near' a player to attack them.. Well aside for perhaps slyly trying to change the subject ;)

It's because making connections to other elements of the game that do not have anything in common with the element of the game being discussed is a pretty typical defense. Remember when titans suggestions were starting to get noticed by HCS? Haha, what a week.

Erm...you were the one who brought it up...lol.

Let's rehash, you made a post saying that you thought that pvpers should have to find their targets, based on the common sense that you have to be near someone to hit them. Regnier7 then responded saying that by that logic, you could only send messages to players or trade with them when they were on the same square. You responded about how maybe there are carrier pigeons. If that is the case, then the pigeons would need to be cared for and fed, and so using common sense a gold fee would have to be attached to messages and trades in order to pay for said pigeons. You responded with this post which doesn't reply to the actual content of my post at all, and at the same time ignores the fact that you started this part of the thread.

Why bring that in? You tell me, you brought it up.

Agument phale. Please don't tell me you're actually trying to rationalise the idea of paying for carrier pigeons :S Being on the same square as an opponent to attack makes perfect sense, going from that to a 'scare tactic' of charging for messages sent is really rather lame IMO. lmao

Hey, there's costs in pigeons being trained and fed!

If the player's location was searchable it could be a working system!

With that thinking though Roan, they have now made it ridiculously easier for predatory players to hound hunters. How come they haven't made it easier for hunters to protect themselves?

I do think there needs to be something made for defence of PvP.
But I don't think that being on same spot on map is the solution.

one reason why HCS wont do anything about it is because its an inbuilt gold sink.Players usually only steal about 80% of total gold dropped, meaning the other 20% falls into limbo or wherever that gold goes to lol

No I'm sure you quite like being able to simply search for a player from some dumb list and then click attack ;)

A. It was half in jest, since I can only assume that your carrier pigeons post was also.

B. Being on the same square as an opponent to attack makes as much sense as being on the same square to send a message.

C. You still haven't responded to the actual content my post, instead you're just saying "It's silly," when it's the logical conclusion of what you posted.

D. It isn't a scare tactic.

E. If it's cell phones, then you have to pay the cell phone bill and buy the actual cell phone. :P

Oh boy! It could like be like hide-and-seek + tag. I hit you now you're it :D

That might be able to work but would be a nice major stamina drain. But then all these complaints from lower levels having to find someone to hit.

Edit: Like 4 posts came before this xD

Well if the location of players is known then it's spending stamina to get there.

Stuff

Exactly how is needing to be on the same square to attack a player, the same as needing to be there to send a message?
