ok before i get to many comments on how terrible it is i want to point out that this is only my second avi.
Also any thing I may need to improve on if you could please tell me how to go about doing it in gimp it would be much appreciated. There is alot I still don't know how to do any advice would be great =) Thanks guys!

Well the whoever render didn't do a very good job. The overall is VERY plain.. It looks like a solid color with some form of yellow lighting behind tigger, a somewhat simple border and text...

kinda it was already taken out of a stock and rendered into its own ( i cant find where the guy got the orginal from tho.) and then i had to go over that one in order to get rd of the white bg that was on it so its been rendered twice i went through wtih the burn tool to darken the out lines which made it look nicer than the first but not much.

i would say use a different background with it.. its just too plain

Did you render it?

Well until you get real good at rendering. I suggest using a site called planetrenders.net the images there are already rendered.

problem with that is planet renders has no tigger renders lol

If you can't find a render, what I usually do is find a stock. And leave it as is.

if u can find a stock with a white background or a solid colour that isnt too close to the colour of the pic u want its not hard to cut it out and make it look good

=s i would but i cant find the origianl this was in all i can find is a render of it with a white bg.

i used the free select tool and then toggled quick mask and applied the mask on the bg that i wanted.

iight, u can do that u can try any of the lasso tools.. my fav or u can do it the long way and use the eraser ..... personally if there is a lot of detail in the background then i will use the eraser to get rid of some of the detail then lasso, then erase what the lasso screws up

The best way, is by using the pen tool. You would have to follow a few tutorials. But it is how you get the cleanest cut.
