Jedi thoughts for boosting activity on PvP Ladder
only two types of attacks..10 and 100 stamina..[*:1j2dukgt]10 stamina attacks only gain PvP rating..no prestige..no exp/gold loss..no ability to bounty(OUTSIDE the bounty board)..this would make players fight their own battles instead of throwing up each attack on the bounty board..
[*:1j2dukgt]100 stamina attacks have the ability to choose what to attack for..Gold..Experience..or PvP rating(for those who don't wish to destroy someone's xp)..OR all three
-When you choose PvP rating only, its double the amount from what you would take from a 10 stamina..a max of 80 or 150(with Gloat)..when you attack for PvP rating only, the attack message in the target's log will tell them you used 100 stamina and have the ability to bounty the attack or attack back(check out revenge hit below)..this would add the risk of a bounty with the glory of gaining a top spot on the ladder
-When choosing Gold and Experience(or all three), you also gain PvP Prestige..I only included prestige with Gold/XP attacks to limit the ability of safely trading for prestige..
-Prestige is only gained from Bounty kills and 100 stamina attacks(not with PvP rating only)..you have the risk of being bountied and losing xp, so in turn you should gain the ability to gain your xp back easier using the prestige buff..

For these ideas to go into play smoothly..xp loss has to occur no matter the difference in level from your target..if im above you, i can take your xp..you can do the same back
[*:1j2dukgt]PvP log..organization is key..give the ability to turn off PvP notifications(yellow message) so those who don't wish to be bothered with the amount of PvP going around, aren't..yes this is 'a pvp game' but the amount of attacks, especially if they reset pvp rating every couple weeks will be too annoying for those who don't wish to partake in that part of the game..
[*:1j2dukgt]Revenge Hit- If you attack with 100 stamina, i have the ability to attack you back for double the xp/gold/pvp rating but i give up the ability to bounty..for each hit made against me, i can make the same amount of revenge hits against them..there is a 48(24?) hour limit in returning with a revenge hit..this would give players a chance to get back what was taken from them personally, instead of throwing it at the board..it will probably only be xp or pvp rating because the gold will be long gone but you should of been more smart with it

I personally think this would add alot of activity to the slow moving pvp ladder plus it would just get players attacking each other..be it for fun or to gain a spot on the ladder without being destroyed because they attacked the wrong player/guild..the pvp system would work how it does now basically, those who thieve can thieve..those who want to dance on the board can still do that..those who bounty hunt still have the same system..the 10 stamina attack would just add another dimension to pvp..
You couldn't just stay on teh top of the ladder thru 10 stamina attacks alone..you would have to put yourself at risk with using 100 stamina for more pvp rating and bounty hunting..taking part of all aspects of PvP to become truly dominate
