Dont worry we are looking through the ideas here, got alot on at the moment with the push to level 1000 but the arena will not be forgotten.

Honestly once the cows changed the items and gold tourneys from only moves to the random sometimes there are moves sometimes there are not they killed the skill required to win, and I pretty much lost most interest in the Lottery of a non move tourney. THERE ARE WAY 2 MANY NON MOVE TOURNEYS!!!

I also do hate that having a good distribution of stats means nothing a lot of the time against people who stack either armor or def to try and get a JD

I was thinking about this problem and feel a decent compromise to make the arena more about skill and less about luck would be a steady decrease in stats.

Currently there are 60 rounds, I think for non move tourneys (possibly even Move tourneys) there should be a 25% reduction to BOTH Def and Armor every 15 rounds

This would make people have to think again, and make the better suits win a lot more often and not require nearly as much luck and would also make the odds of having a Judges decision go way down!

wow...imagine how much extra thinking we would have to do with that rule intact...LOL. CA is fine as it is, weakening it would only strengthen defense sets, and most of us have more than enough with defense sets

To avoid setup-stealing, could the coders change the way you enter an arena event?

You add one extra screen, the equipment screen, when you enter an arena (after you pay). A screen with the normal layout of equipment shows up (gloves in the top left corner, etc), along with a list of your inventory below it (something like it shows up on the Hellforge screen).

You then select your equipment to use in that arena, and click Submit. Since nobody else can see this screen, nobody can copy your setups (unless they see you trying on different sets beforehand).

what if they did an arena once a month for an epic item! totally random time of the month, totally random level. in the low levels, up to 256 people can enter for the price of an fsp, and once it starts going higher then lvl 400, say only 128 can enter for 2 fsp, and then higher then 5-600, 64 people for 4 fsp since fewer people are that high that do the arena (im guessing). no epics since its an epic item and always have combat moves. 1st place gets the item and 2nd place gets maybe a set amount of fsp?!

DRAWS have to be over....1 have to win and not random.... a 300 lvl set up cant beat a lvl 550 set up....+100/150lvl arena join example a lvl 300 cant join arena lvl 401/451

and kill the judges

personally iam not in favour of this suggestion . i don't know whether you have calculated the consequences of this are not . if this suggestion is going to be implemented then the defence is completely dead from arena.. in a way you can say evaporated from arena.

just an example just think two opponents got 1 5000 def and 3000 dmg with 2500 attack , 2 5000 armor , 3000 dmg with 2500 attack .. after 2 round both lose 50% def and armor , and the armor guy will win..

and eventually armor's armor's armor's in arena.

In this case yes an armor suit would win, but you have to remember the arena is all about creating suits to counter trends this would just lead to people using more armor damage at 1 point, which would then lead to others using def damage suits since armor damage have no attack, which then leads to people increasing their attack.

The arena is full of cycles, but at least with the suggestion it would lead away from the bore it is now to where everyone is just stacking either def, or armor and hoping to win a judges decision. with the current system non move tourneys are pretty much a lottery...

With some reason to have more balanced stats when entering and almost a gurantee of not havinf a judges decision happen it would bring some life to the arena.

As far as the 25% reduction, I was thinking more on the lines of a 25% decrease to current stats each time not 25% total down to 0.

round 30 56.25% of stats

round 45 42%

round 60 (last hit) 31.6% of your original stats in def and armor.

Could we please get a change in the arena sometime soon? Many people are losing interest in the arena right now, and arenas are taking longer and longer to fill up. Even I'm starting to get bored of the arena, specifically how slowly the arena moves and how low the prices are for components won. Something has to be done about this quickly, or the arena will die out before a change is even placed.

Yeah, I'm not 100% convinced on this but I will admit I'd prefer it to the current scenario where it is often more luck needed then good stats. I'd certainly like to see a solution, has it been suggested before that the combat just continues past the 60 rounds until there is a winner.

I can't see a problem with it, does it take too much computing power or coding. Why does there have to be "combat unresolved" when hunting or a "judges descision" in the arena :-(

Yeah, I'm not 100% convinced on this but I will admit I'd prefer it to the current scenario where it is often more luck needed then good stats. I'd certainly like to see a solution, has it been suggested before that the combat just continues past the 60 rounds until there is a winner.

dont know if this makes sense but if ur going to do a decrease u could have an increase also say after 15 rounds if ur main stat is def and ur up against a player whos main stat is armor how bout the def player gets 25% taken of his def and it added to his dam and the armor players loses 25% of his armor and its added to his att just a suggestion dont bite my head lol

Bump, with the pvp ladder and rewards the arena has slowed down further.

Dont get me wrong, increased pvp activity is a "must" for the game, I understand this.

I think many players are entertained by the arena also, it just needs some tweeks.

Please help ASAP cows.

yeah make this next on the list i have never seen it so slow even the gold prices are going really slow make it worth while again and please fix this random lottery arena wins its getting boring

HCS please do something about the arena quick. Quite a few of us here play the game ONLY for the arena, and we don't want that to force us out of the game
