Whatever the devs decide I'll be fine with as long as the cost to post 20 kills for gold or fsp is more appropriate to the stam used and time it takes all for doubling damage at a minimum.
I almost said 2 or 3 however after reflecting on the doubled minimum damage and time to complete I think it should be a luxury option. That way if/when the MP rises it won't have any detrimental effect on gold cost vs. fsp to post.
I hear what your saying luiss, but even 2-3 'is' a luxury amount of FSP to some of the lower levels
Some kind of floating ratio dependant on your level would be more appropriate?

Um, so when stam requirements are the focus on a (low level) bounty hunter taking a 20 hit bounty it's, "get used to it." And when it's a greater investment in fsp or gold to place a bounty like that, it's "oh the poor low level players?" :?
Well, for people just starting up stamina comes free, getting hold of them precious orbs isn't so easy though.

Indeed. Lower barrier of entry into the game is good for player retention and thus good for the health of the game.

Being countered while clearing someone(with 10's i might add)and then not being able to 100 stam? Not fair towards hunters in my opinion.There is nothing to stop everyone from countering each other..since there is a stam limit on the board.

so you dont see anything wrong with all the counter bounties? Bounty hunting is now rating hunting, should call it a bounty rating ladder.. thats all it is now lol. Players trying to earn profit from clearing others..now in turn lose levels( 40%) low levels wont like it, and will eventually cease to bounty hunt... high levels wont risk the endless counter bounties.. and the board will be at a stand still... fine with you tho i pressume right? :wink:

The thing is, most of the people who wanted this change just wanted a way to push their usual agenda, bully people, get their sadistic kicks in the same old manner they always did. Now that the game has changed and their main tools 'Fear and Intimidation' have been defanged somewhat they don't like it, hence all the whining on this thread.

Also, if you keep the BB updates the way they are then I want you to also make gold and rating loss applicable to GvG. Also, make GvGers bountyable. Then you will see the true flood of complaints hit this thread. There are very few true bounty hunters (maybe 3-400 or so) but thousands of players GvG. The magnitude of the error in this update is really under-represented. It's pretty darn terrible.
Pvp and GvG are different things, and thus have different rules. It sounds like you want to turn GvG into +/- 25 level, 50 to 100 hit pvp. This will never happen, and has nothing what so ever to do with the PvP ladder, the bounty board, or PvP in general.

2) the point of that comment was to accentuate the fact that it is a ridiculous update and that ppl will be in a huff if GvG were EVER EVER updated. you have proven my point.

A list of top pvp players within the current level range would be great. just like the top players, initially show the top players of the date-registered-month. then another for top players of all of FS (which is the current display). True that query time may be longer but the developers surely can think of a way to work around it :wink:
I think this will help promote the pvp system by making those who are active at pvp more visible, i dont think anyone who's active in pvp would shy away from challengers especially those on top.

In addition, by making it 2 times as hard to earn a bounty medal (if we assume that 20 hit bounties will become the norm, as I am already seeing in the board and it's JUST started), it is like rewarding doubly players who hunted before this update.
IF the 20 hit bounty persists, there must be a weighted medal system. Past 1-hits equal .1 clear. 2 hits, .2 clear. 10 hits = 1 clear. 20 hits = 2 clears toward a medal. In this fashion, past abuses are punished, and new 20 hit clears are rewarded. THAT would be intelligent and totally fair.
Currently, it's a joke and a terrible system.

Not really.
Most of the suggestions made on how to fix the ladder among other things has been made by players involved with PvP and those not too involved either, posted in public here on the forum. I personally don't have an agenda except from making sure the right people are up on that list, I wouldn't stand much of a chance since I PvP far less than others. With the previous system I could get pretty high up on that ladder from just clearing bounties, and that hasn't changed ... I'd like to see those hitting a lot off the board and winning a lot rewarded regardless of what level they are, not just see their rating getting eaten up by someone like me on the board.
As for the stam restrictions I think it's limiting game play, choice is a big part of PvP:ing in this game, makes it a bit more organic than hitting creatures for XP, entering arena or chasing SE (and I say that doing all of those). Keeps the game interesting.
