Seems like initiating GvGs reduces rating. I initiated one and now I have 0 PvP rating.

Getting flashbacks from the introduction of Prestige (which works nicely now though) ...

Wouldn't rewarding people like prestige work better than how it is/was? Initiator and targets gain/loose 10 points off the board depending on outcome, 1 point gain/loss for bounty kills? With a reset every week to give people starting out a chance to compete?

Would have to reduce the number of hits though to still make it worth hitting for rating, or award more points for off the board attacks.

And I thought stamina used to attack someone off the board wouldn't affect the amount of stamina that could be used on a bounty, is this true?

Can you actually DO a 0 stam hit I'm wondering? Has someone tried clearing the bounties that were placed for a deflected hit? If so, this means that people can be cleared with no consequences for a deflected attack. I'm actually okay with no consequences for an attack being deflected, since I didn't take anything from the victim.



I am going to find out if I can continue to attack this guy now, and since its 0 stamina, and he cant bounty me again, I might be able to 100 stamina hit him until my bounty expires..lol.. okay, so its a glitch, I am good at finding them, or so it would seem..

Stamina used in attack must range between 10 and 100. (got that when trying it myself)

That's the way it always has been. The deflected 0 stam thing i'm guessing is an oversight or bug.

Im guessing there will be, too many bugs right now.
Well there better be, gonna take me a long time to build my rating up from 1, up to 60 now though so you never know :lol:

So how are people already able to gain quite a lot of Rating ?

Unless they are hitting a lotta lot and then also people with similar rating :?

I just can't see how they got it that high already.

Someone gained over 1000 pvp points from a bounty, for one...

Okay. We are gonna remove EXP loss on failed Bounty Attacks.


But the succesful defender gets PvP rating. So if someone who doesn't care about PvP rating takes a bounty and intentionally loses every attack, the target gets PvP rating and the attacker loses nothing (asssuming they stashed their gold) but stamina and a rating they did not want.

Looks like non-PvPers can find a market now for all that PvP rating they do not want:
Point farmers will be paying them to make inept attacks on the BB.
Sounds bad, but I'm not an expert on PvP or on point farming.



yeah, but they'll just lose it all on bounty completion.

Regnier7 lost 24403 experience.
----- gained PvP rating of 252.
----- gained 1 PvP Prestige


over 200 stam and over a dozen risks for bounties and my rating is already gone.... crap.

Maehdros gained PvP rating of 315.
Maehdros gained 1 PvP Prestige. after clearing a bounty ( 10 hit bounty) against someone with only 1065 rating.. I had 990..lol,


glad to see cows are working on a fix grim.

Forgive me, Regnier, but I am not clear on who loses what at the end of the bounty.
If a point farmer hires ten levelers to do as many inept losing attacks as they can on his bounty, does the point farmer lose it all when one legitamate BH finally clears the farmer? If so, giving PvP rating for succesful BB defense seems stupid.



Giving this much rating to a hunter hundreds of levels above me when he obviously wasn't PvPing off the board himself is dumb, in my honest opinion.

After reviewing feedback, we have fixed an issue with the PvP Rating transfers during bounties, whereby players would lose and gain more PvP Rating than intended. Note due to this, any player with a PvP rating of lower than 900, has been set to 900.

Also an issue with deflect has been corrected whereby bounties had a maximum of '0' stamina.

How is it fixed? Ie: has it been reduced drastically?

One aspect of this change needs top be reversed. The loss of xp to a bounty hunter on a failed attack is a huge mistake for multiple reasons. One, it may kill bounty hunting. Many bounty hunters take bounties where they know they will lose several combats. By installing this update, you just incentivized bounty hunters to only take bounties of players well below their level. This will also create the effect of making most very high levels impervious o the Board since most hunters will take more damage in clearing than they can inflict in clearing. Also, for me, you just ruined the most fun part of the game for me -- which is clearing difficult bounties. I have spent up to 2 1/2 hours clearing people twice my level or more. By installing this update, you just guaranteed I would lose 4-5 levels clearing a bounty of that nature. I can't imagine that was your intent.


I would think that clearing bounties should provide a risk, but I agree that the risk should not drop someone 4-5 levels for attempting to clear all of them. I think that easier bounties should give you less of a benefit when clearing and the harder higher level bounties should give a person more of a reward. It gives the incentive to push for those "hard to reach" bounties. Realistically, the higher the level of a bounty between the person taking on the bounty and the target, should provide more benefit, but should also provide a significant risk. On the reverse, I think a player clearing a bounty against a target that is significantly lower than him/her should receive less. Ultimately, I believe that at some point, there should be no reward for clearing a bounty on someone who is much lower than the hunter. At some point if a level 500 decides to clear a bounty on a level 100 (just throwing out numbers), their gear alone should be enough to completely smash them. There should be no benefit for "shooting fish in a barrel".

I do not think the change will kill bounty hunting, but I do believe that if the loss outweighs the benefits of the hunt, then there will be a lot less bounty hunting taking place for higher levels. I think the over all intent of the PvP change and bounty board was good, but there are a few tweaks that might need to happen.

I haven't recieved the gold rewards for any of the bounties I've completed.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

Cheers hoof, but can I get 978? I worked hard to get those extra 77 points since going to 1, now you just got rid of them :P
