Hoof, honestly a decay rating system would fix a lot problems, and not only a decay towards 1,000, a total decay, a small percentage everyday or every few days.

Whats the dominance in hitting players who barely log in once every two weeks just to say hello? Their rating would go down and people would stop farming from them with no risk at all.

If you want a ladder with PvPers this would show a ladder with dominant PvPers, not with point farmers from semi active players or from players who never PvP.

A weekly or random reset will just give another incentive to point farmers.

I'm not sure that I like the idea of changing the PVP rating gained depending on the level/difficulty. I understand where you are coming from saying that a level 800+ could easily win against levels 600+ no problem usually, but a lot of people seem to be forgetting relic bonuses. I mean I've seen many 400+ players that easily put up the stats that I can with buffs and relic bonuses. I don't think it's fair allowing both relic bonuses on the BB and allow higher level players who are in smaller guilds be penalized for this.


the bounty board should be treated like an active arena. equipment and set bonuses only, along with buffs of course if you ask me.



I agree with this.. I don't believe relic bonuses should be included in some areas of the game, but will leave those areas out and keep strictly to the PVP/Bounty Board. Relic bonuses provide an extremely unfair advantage for players who have them compared to those who don't. If you don't include this thought in your decision making on difficulty or "level bands", then you are overlooking a very unbalanced area of the game

I agree with evfisher, either allow all attacks off of the bounty board to be bountied, or bring back the 20 kill bounties. Heck, bring back the 20 kill bounties anyways, just increase the cost to place them in both reward and bounty tickets, and half the cost in bounty tickets to accept them. Not all bounties will end up being for 20 kills especially if the cost of them is doubled, but it will help bring some balance between pvpers and non pvpers.

There are already many options for multiple attacks, wait to bounty when a delevel party has been arranged, lock xp, etc. This is off the topic of max stam used on the BB.

The reason why they are looking to fix something, is because this topic is very broken. They are looking for player feedback to improve the PVP/Bounty Board

Well that's a biased poll if i ever saw one. Basically one option for no changes, and 2 options for yes changes. Hmmmm, even if the population is split 60% for changes and 40% for no changes, the "no" vote is going to win. Come on Hoof, do it fair and square. :(


This seems to be empirically false. Too soon to tell though :)

20 hit bounties so drastically alter the bounty system, that I don't think a general populous vote is effective in creating the most quality system. It takes expertise to make it work right. It would be like having everyone VOTE on what is the best math equation to solve a stumping problem.

For instance, a lot of players probably don't think about the fact that 20 hit bounties ARE A GUARANTEED FREE HIT ON THEM if a player uses deflect while on the board. Bounties will extend beyond 1 hour and thereby open them up to a free 100 stam with no risk.

As evilfisher has stated, people seem to want to hit ALL attacks more than they want to give away free attacks.

Yeah, and a lot of votes made by people who never will take a bounty themselves and sit through 38 minutes minimum....

And that is a great reason to make all non bounty board attacks carry the risk of a separate bounty.

I'm not opposed to the random resetting either. Would picking a random day work or do you feel it should be even more randomized than that?


Back on Topic.

After this post, the thread seemed to go a little out of reach. Everyone had good idea, but I think that some of them missed the question posted. If I understand Hoof correctly, the question was if putting back things the way they were and starting off with a random reset day/time would be good for all. Or at least for the most part.

I think I saw some people agree with that as a start, yes?

First of all, it is evfisher, not evilfisher. And I said all attacks that are off the bounty board 1:1, not the bounty clears. Having delevelling parties don't work with the VL/AL situation as it is, because they are still in range, and locking XP is good for protecting my XP, but not my gold and my PvP rating.

Do you guys seriously think this is a democratic voting process? It's a game! Hoof and all the devs will go with what they think is best based on many things including sometimes player feedback. I'm sure a lot would love to see a poll for whether or not one should be able to opt out of PvP all together. Remember, that option exists but taking that option doesn't leave much room to play...
