I've said it many times, there needs to be some sort of way to protect someone's Xp through the deleveling of their agressor, at the least.... I think 5 levels would be enough to force them to relevel more.

Soooooo about the VL and ability to take Xp thing....
1000% agreed.
Give levelers some much needed defense.

or moreso, give more incentive for leveling types to bounty and take some levels.

Easiest solution to this is to scrap VL altogether. Just force players to deassign level up and skill points the moment they are deleveled. No other page will load until this is done. Everything redirects to the "You have lost a level" screen.

okay say a player is on the BB and is doing a better job than i do fighting off attackers. if he gets a ton of PvP rating for players that cant clear him does he keep it or does he lose it and the players that lost to him get it back at the end or the bounty since only the bounty winner get rating exchanged with the player on the board?
seems unfair if he puts up a good fight and doe not get the spoils. :|

I think it would be fairly simply just to code it to say... take away the ability to shave Xp from someone once they are 5-10 levels below their VL... forcing them to relevel more.... which is more punishment than the deleveling.
not including gold or rating in this, of course. But this will give levelers and option.

Hi all,
To summise what is being discussed in the other thread - here is what we are currenly look at doing - note this isn't set in stone however - please continue to discuss it on this thread.
Suggested Changes to PvP Ladder
1) Make the ending time random to prevent last minute attempts to boost the PvP rating.
2) Change the bounty board back so that all PvP hits confer a rating adjustment rather than just the final completer of the bounty.
3) Apply a reduction in PvP rating transfer to bounties, dependant on how much higher the attacking player is above the bounty target.
4) Remove stamina limitations from bounties.
All these points are still up for discussion however - please discuss here

1. Elegant solution. As long as its not always the same day but random time on that day. It should be a random day, random hour, random minute. No one will be able to predict it and beef up their rating specifically for the end.
2. Yes. IF AND ONLY IF all rating gained on the board is drastically reduced.
3. Yes. Its only fair. A level 700 attacking a level 200 isnt really working hard, while a level 200 clearing a level 700 is.

The rating increase is your to keep when defending. Found that out today

HAHHAA i love that idea omg!! see i level anyway, so i can continue to wear my suicide set, though right now i went a bit over board haha xD either way i enjoy the thought of pissed off people xD

I like your attitude, not because of your style of play but because you play this as any game is intended to be played, for fun. It's a role playing game. Some are antagonists and some are protagonists. The funniest part is how serious, nee passionate, players can get. But you genuinely seem to have fun and I cherish playing for the same reason, even if it is at another players expense. I KNOW we are playing the right game LOLi dont talk to my prey... i kill it, i most certainly dont expect respect for 100-stamming someone lol i know its a dirty hobby, my guild is based on levelers so i understand the levelers view point, i just dont care.... i lack compassion lol.

I am PRO max stam limits, and giving the bounty offerer the option to set a stamina limit up to/equal to the amount of stamina used in the attack, on the BB only.
And allowing all hits to transfer rating, whether it be 100 points or 1, still makes it possible and even better, easier for lower level rating farmers. Why was that idea changed?
