I heard that duelist is roughly 10% (at 100% deulist) attack and damage increase with some variance(that is there anyways), even if its not, its best to leave yourself room just in case ;)

Im certain its no more then 10%. . .

Terrorize 175 is 17.5% reduction in damage. You do the math :)

The real trick is, which resolves first? Since the two values would be different ;) This one I dont know. . . . . .

Real easy example, lets work with someone with 100% duelist who has 1000 damage.

If duelist is the 10% it is theorized at and duelist resolves first, then that would increase damage to 1100 before a 17.5% reduction from terrorize 175(192 since cow math always rounds down) which would make the damage stat effectively 908.

If terrorize resolves first, then it would be a 17.5% of 1000 reduction (175) making the damage stat 825, then duelist kicks in for 10% of that creating a 82 damage increase for a final value of 907

In this case, the values are remarkably close, but still different, and on a larger scale those differences would add up.

To be honest, I had thought it would be more like the difference between values of constitution vs DC. You see, most people make the mistake of adding constitution to their defense stat before taking away the defense loss caused by their opponents DC, which causes a difference in final values to, I believe, a greater extent.

Mhhh... now i need a coffee... *confused* the difference is only given by round down... cant be higher than that...

With 10% duellist and TER175 and 1000 damage
TER resolves first --> 1000 x 0.825 x 1.1
Duelist resolves first --> 1000 x 1.1 x 0.825

Same goes for Const and DC
Const150 and DC 150 and 1000 defense
Constitution first --> 1000 x 1.15 x 0.7
DC first --> 1000 x 0.7 x 1.15

.. its just a commutative property, you wont have a difference higher than 1 rounding down

Where am i wrong?

lol Now your confusing me, if terror was level 175, its 17.5%, so Im not sure where your getting the 1.1

Anyways const 150(15%) and dc 150(30%) with 1k defense.

Const first- 1000 x 15%= 150. 1150x30%= 345 Final defense sum= 805

DC first- 1000x 30%= 300 (bringing you down to 700 defense) 700x 15%=105 Final defense value= 805 :shock:

Well, the numbers dont lie, it would seem you got me on this one, I couldve swore I remember getting different numbers for them resolving first :? Not above admitting Im wrong though :)
