Question: If someone hits you and takes that much rating away from you (say 200) couldn't you hit them back and take it back???



You wont get much back..but you could always stomp the bejeezuz out of them ;) lol


Hmm...Then perhaps this part of the formula needs to be changed.. They changed the xp loss and gold loss so that if I attack back the player loses those things. Why not do the same thing for the PvP rating? Otherwise, it really doesn't seem very fair and doesn't encourage me to get involved in PvP


Best scenario you get back a fraction of what he took. In most cases he's already swapped the gold to someone else lol.

i suggest to making the pvp tokens rewards more averaged out through out the top 50 pvp rating players. such 1-5 get 50s token instead of 100. 6-20 can get 20 tokens. 21-30 can get 5 tokens, and the rest get 31-50 can get 1 token

I agree, the idea of 100 stam pulling that much rating is foolishness. I agree that using more stam should have the potential to pull more just for the investment, but 10x as much is ridiculous. 2x-3x transfer is still sufficient to encourage using stam. Implement a hard cap, but a relatively generous one as to still give reason for honor/gloat most of the time. Perhaps 50 or so? Quite a sting, but not complete wrecking. Combined with less drastic change between rankings, a single hit would be troublesome without being excessively devastating.

no offense, but the fact a few people want it bound seems rather silly to me. I would rather you guys make more of an effort cleaning up the abusers then just making this slapdash decision, which screws over any guilds who purchased the items, any merchants who did, and anyone who maybe cared a little about pvping for profit. Now you will have the same small group of people pvping, and everyone else wont give a damn, just like before these updates.

not to mention that the arena is totally screwed up, since only a few arena players have these items, and now very few others will ever have the chance to acquire them.

Very disappointed in you HCS...... really


They should have had it BOUND from the beginning. So, I agree I am disappointed as well, but it needed to be done. PvP is a joke, if you have expensive resources as a reward, plain and simple.

As soon as they released the items, I gave up on Arenas. But I wasn't having much success before the items so I can't complain too much.

Merge the pvp token and allegiance token. That way you can even bind the items and still give people with excess pvp tokens something to spend them on after they have invented all of the sets..


What is to stop someone from donating then using the Allegiance tokens to buy PvP gear. Seems like another way to break the system.

rofl, seems to me the non-pvpers are the ones abusing this system and making all these threads suddenly be posted..i don't see one pvper in the top 18 on the last ladder and only one in the top ten on the new "pvp ladder"


You need to get your eyes tested Moon :P

I'm a PvP'er and I was 4th in the last ladder :)

After reading through the posts again, it seems there are a number of issues that are in discussion.

There should defiantly be a transfer of PvP rating on the Bounty Board aswell as off it. Even if it is a reduced %

The reason being, if there isn't, it would make a completely unfair PvP ladder for the higher the level player you are... The higher the level the less targets available to hit, thus not being able to gain as much PvP rating and having the opportunity to gain PvP as much as lower levels.


The problem is not that the higher level players have less targets available to hit, if more players were in pvp activity the higher level players would have higher pvp rating targets available to hit. The current system with a transfer of PvP rating on the Bounty Board doesn't work. One player 100-stammed 40 players in one hour and got 1,500+ pvp rating, just 14 bounties and his pvp rating is below 1,000, so the system is good for players that have multis and/or pay to avoid bounties, also bounty hunters earn pretty high pvp rating clearing pvp'ers that initiate pvp in this game. I can tell you that even if you had enough targets in your attacking range you wouldn't make the top without agreements etc. ;)

I think making them bound sucks for one simple reason... it limits the Reward for being in the top 5 on the PVP Ladder. That reward should include the ability to make some FSP from Resource sales. Also some players may have zero interest in the items the resources make.

Finally the way the points are spread are well kinda weird lol 100 to 1 tokens from rank 1 to 6 then 1 token for rank 6 to 50. I'm sure someone may have some better Token spreads I wont waste time thinking any more on it. I have heads to crack. and a Bio to re-write after it was reported by Turnips. V```V God I love this GAME!

That is actually a well spotted issue with the system. As it is there is a lotta "action behind the scene" happening; Payments, threats, clones etc etc to get the no.1 spot so you can make as much profit as possible.
Sure, trying to make the resources bound may help a bit, but it will not stop any of the cheaters. It will just make the invented sets become even more rare, and even more expensive due to invention failures on the low lvl players, who does not have axx to master inventor boosting items. And what in the rare case you have a lower lvled player actually get the no.1 spot, fair and square? He is to be punished by loosing extractions and inventing sessions? He could have gotten a friend or even paid a higher lvl to invent stuff for him - but not anymore.

Remove the bound status of the resources, and spread out the tokens. Make no. 1 on the ladder at the reset gain 10 tokens, and everyone else within the top 50 gain 5. This could encourage guild efforts, team work, communication and what not ... sorta like a multiplayer game thingie :wink:

After that, we can start working on how the BB should affect, or rather NOT affect PvP rating the way it does.

Rename the PvP ladder to the BH ladder, and rename PvP rating to be BH rating.

Then make a separate Dominance ladder where the only thing that counts is the number of 100 stamina attacks you make and win between resets.

Both ladders award PvP tokens as both are PvP. Both reset at minimum once a week. Might wanna reduce the total tokens able to be earned by the top spot for both ladders though. 25 for first place, down to 5 for 5th place and then 1 for everything else.

Bingo, ladder problems solved.

You want a constructive comment hoof how bout the fact u can spend a lot on buffs stam and bounty tickets to earn a good rating doing bounty's where u earn bout 2 ratings per hit then someone can 100 stam u and steal over 200 rating and if u stick them on the board they lose bout 20 points i think this is a little crazy every1 should be earning there points

I think nobody should get any PvP rating if they are eventually not bountied/counter-bounted for those attacks :lol: Problems solved.

erhm... no!

1. Don't remove the VL. Fix it so that ppl 5-10 lvls below their VL cannot hit anyone.. now that, is punishment.

2. Which change?

3. Has nothing to do with the ladder.

4. This is not a good fix, and needs looking into.

5. Kinda agree... the issue is ho this should work. As it is, it's a travesty. Maybe have no transfer in PvP rating on board, but just a loss of rating implemented here?

1. PvP'ers initiate pvp in their attacking range (let's assume PvP rating is the motivation behind these attacks)
2. Bounty Board punishes PvP'ers, so they lose XP and all PvP rating they got attacking other players in their range..
3. PvP'ers don't counter-bounty Bounty Hunters.
4. Players hitting multis and paying to avoid bounties AND Bounty Hunters are winning, but not the PvP'ers that initiate PvP in their attacking range.

that's ok, you can get ~1,500+ pvp rating 100-stamming ~40 players with 1000 PvP rating. Tested.
