Regardless of stat changes this mace/flail wont be used for hunting unless its damage comes at least close to matching that of the fire blade. EW1500 magnifies the difference damage so greatly that it will nearly always be the best choice to take the weapon with the greatest damage.

Since its not effective for hunting, perhaps it can fill a void in pvp arena with high defense or armor. But even so this will never be a very desirable item to the masses. Leveling weapons are chosen for high damage... period. I would suggest you reconsider changing this item to a shield ring or amulet

edit - or boots.

But like the idea of the new type of enchantment as we have new buffs for every 100 levels some new enchants would come handy too

I would like to see the statts split 50/50 between attack and defense.. also add first strike enhancement ( high) .. and it would be great if you could add Hypnotise as well... and make it unique !

People dual wielding epic weapons is not a good solution.

Another reason to make it boots; Pull out your spread sheets on sets, and look at all sets from lvl 680 and up. Tell me how many of those involve boots.

Epic Boots at 700 being Arm/Dam or Def/Dam would seem fitting...

I think the topic that you really care about is player's satisfaction. And that is why in the last month you guys have been doing so many great improvements for the game. I know it might be hard to implement, but it makes sense and is a great solution for many issues that we have been asking for. Why dont you give this little idea a chance? It might work!!!

might as well make it an offline beast if it wont beat the fireblade
att/def, att/arm whatever floats your boat
add in first strike, dualist, protect xx etc


I agree the Fireblade has leveling tied up and its stats cant be beaten. But alot of players continue to use the Fireblade offline for stam gain too then the Mace can be made to do that job better with stats geared towards offline defence!

If with the current stats you add
+50 Greensking Slayer
+50 Beast Slayer
theres a chance that against Beasts and Greenskins it becomes better than Elemental, making it useful for hunting

We will not be combining these in an epic recipe due to the very low success rate. Losing two epic items is not viable.
