The helheart set breaks acheron and post tweak isn't the superomgwtf gear it was.


Unfortunately it's still very strong.

Levelup points all dmg, level 175 dmg buffs (be, fu, ea, ef, if, es) at level 900:
Acheron + best dmg gear: 3430 att 21405 dmg (with volkers, 5400 att, 21200 dmg)
Helhearts + azure + best dmg gear: 1918 att 22435 dmg.
Net difference -1512 att +1020 dmg.

Throw in KE175 and DC175 and you can beat 3900 defense reliably - and that covers 54 out of 72 creeps between 900 and 968 - only 18 would pose a problem (some of them would reduce the dmg bonus to about half, because best ring/armor/boots with attack all seem to lack about 400-500 dmg to the best dmg gear).

So, for a big majority of creeps, these two sets together mean that you can save either be350 (175 is enough) or EW1500 (EW1000 is enough) - and on the tougher creeps, it will knock off one level of CA (DBL1200) or 2/3 of it (DBL750).

So, unfortunately, helhearts is a MAJOR hunting set, with a big impact on levellers. For a big guild, it will pay off even at pretty serious prices - as it makes 1hitting cheaper.

But consider the following - at maximum, only 1 complete helhearts set can enter the game per reset, as each piece requires 20 tokens to invent. You need the first and second place ladder finishers to be willing to sell ALL their tokens, save for 5 left over for the 1st place finisher.

The point I made was that the majority of the gear is NOT prime leveling gear. Excluding helheart, only 1 set out of 7 is really "hunting" gear, and that set, sekhs, exists in a range that has been easily 1 hit since skaldir came out.

maybe they should unbind the recourses now they have scaled everything down? doesnt make much sence having them bound tbh

It very much makes sense having them bound. The ladder was supposed to reward PvPers, not traders, abusers and cheaters. Allowing a level 20 account to get high on the ladder and then sell the rewards for a huge profit, that's a real invitation for creation of multies (as seen already in a few cases). Are we sure that all of them will get caught?

The goal of this feature was NOT to give non-PvPers another way to farm for profit. Nobody will be able to use a low-level multi or collude with a low-level friend to get rich.

i can kinda see your point. it does mean there will be fewer of the high lvl sets (helheart) going into the game tho

We have just implemented the following changes to the game:

PvP Ladder Token Distribution

We have adjusted the rewards for being ranked within the Top 50 of the PvP Ladder to make them more distributed. You can view the new rewards on the PvP Ladder page.

PvP Inactivity

In regards to PvP Rating transfer, players are now classed as 'inactive' after 7 days and therefore players attacking them will no longer gain/lose PvP Rating.

Inventing Minimum Levels

Some recipes in the game now have a minimum required level before the item can be invented.

We hope you approve of the changes :)

You guys just didn't put no pvp rating when the person is over 7 days but you guys also put no prestige after 7 days....

I'm the second highest level ( the other is near EOC) in the top ten right now lol :shock: which is nice to see... the old ladder had too many high levels .. not that they weren't good, but there's a tonne of awesome PvP'rs spread through out alot of level range in FS. It is surprising to see extremely low low levels in the top 3 and top 10 ;) veryyyyyy sketchy lol.


I will say this tho, its still a" who can clear more bounties then the other players " ladder lol.Theres some on the ladder who bounty hunt alot, and then theres others who are learning how.. which is nice to see... but as to showing true PvP dominance? This ladder doesnt. I wish hoof would explain his intentions or what he considers "dominance". Bleltch has asked several times what hoofs intentions are.

Maybe someone else should ask, the only time he replies to me is when i put up a pissed off post. :(

And Yes, a high level bounty hunter camped out at the top of the rankings sucking up the dominance medal points hasn't changed. I look every evening and every morning and see the same guy there keeping about a 100 point lead on the #2 spot. Bounty hunting has it's own medal and top list, the pvp ladder shouldn't be for hunters too.

Something's wrong, and I'm not quite sure what. I have 1250 rating, I'm doing a bounty of a player with ~990 rating, who's obviously not inactive, and I'm not getting any rating transfer. What am I missing? :?

You above 1200 and target below 1000 = no rating for you

I thought the floor was at 500 though

And still, no one care about the silent update to the tokens?
It was 5 points at least to be in the top 50 list , now its back to 1 and 1st place went down from 40 to 25 points

I agree, its rather silly to have it so top heavy. I think their main issue was the flooding of tokens out, but personally I think the faster these items are devalued, the faster what cheating and BS is going on will go away should they decide this is the system they want to keep. I still think Rainyt's idea of having pvp be like tkp would be alot less exploitable. . . . . . .
