And how does that take away from the very real fact that people don't actually express their opinions because of in-game intimidation?


The thing is, is it actual intimidation or perceived intimidation...


Both, I've seen a LOT of actual intimidation of players on these kinds of threads myself, as I'm sure you have too.


I'll actually +1 that.

Main problem being .... a lot of PvPers are focused in so few guilds that happen to be alligned with each other. I just feel that is the biggest issue.

nthn and me are not really in PvP guilds, but our breed is getting fewer and fewer. lol

Just wish there were more incentive for PvPers to spread out and less incentive to turn PvPers away, for the leveling guilds.

If the effect of being delevelled actually damaged pvp'ers like their gameplay does on non-pvp'ers. Well, wouldn't that be more fair? 8)


Taking away the ability to take Xp is perfectly reasonable to me, when they're knocked down enough.

When a pvp'er attacks a non pvp'er player they are forcing them into playing their aspect. Right?

same as if i am forced to level to participate in pvp, no?


What can a non-pvp'er do in return?

listen, im not disagreeing with you saying "no, no, no, everything is perfect as it is", but i dont think this is the answer to the problem.

besides, you and i both know how detrimental a partial stam hunt would be to a "higher level" player in terms of efficiency and "cost/profitability"...

1 level? 5 levels? 11 levels?

hrmm... I was thinking at least 5-6, but depends. Mind you, it's only the ability to take Xp being taken away. I am a firm believer that gold loss should stay.

Indeed I do, at the moment the BB does nothing to deter possible attacks because it doesn't harm a pvp players gameplay. It infact enhances it.

Removing their ability to do their 'damage' if they are dropped a level is a fitting punishment and adequate retribution for the damaged party IMO.

I hardly gold thieve anymore. It just isn't that exciting. I am getting more into bounty hunting. :?

But first a bout of leveling where I'll be subject to the same gold thieving. I don't bounty, but I will hit back. If someone catches me with loads of gold, I'll just sit and think.... damn, I got cocky there.

Hell, I'd be a quester and bounty hunter only, if HCS had more involved quests. :(

How about you tell me why it should stay if pvp'ers were to be de-fanged until they regain their lost levels to have matching VL/AL's.

i'm still not onboard for the 1 level drop = no xp take thing....

although i do agree that there should be some way to stop the buzzards... maybe if 2 guildmates hit on a bounty, the person who was bountied cannot hit the player who bountied him for 48 hours?

How about you tell me why it should stay if pvp'ers were to be de-fanged until they regain their lost levels to have matching VL/AL's.


The only thing needed is for xp loss to be taken away, anything else is superfluous.

There's no reason to take it away, that's why it should stay. I won't get into all the arguments about pvp being a gold sink or free banking...

Plus the PvPer is still risking a further five levels, if he hits again.

As long as it didn't work on counter-bounties, or on the original attacker if he/she wants to take a bounty on the original defender, I'm fine with it..

Actually, its..

No matching VL/AL = No exp loss, No gold loss and 50% rating transfer on any pvp combats that person initiates.
