We listened to feedback and did what players wanted an in the and did the verry best we could with the restrictions we could in the game.


So tell us again why converting the mace to a different slot was impossible?

We would like the players to decide what they would like done with the stats.
However there are conditions.
It will stay as a weapon.
No one stat item , no more stamina or Xp gain, and the stat numbers stay the same - but feel free to re distrabute stat numbers including enhancements.
Im looking to make a change tommorow.

We would like the players to decide what they would like done with the stats.
However there are conditions.
It will stay as a weapon.
No one stat item , no more stamina or Xp gain, and the stat numbers stay the same - but feel free to re distrabute stat numbers including enhancements.
Im looking to make a change tommorow.


You really did listen. The options you gave were the following:

Item remains a weapon.

No increase in stats.

No increase in stam gain.

And this titan should be killed 4500 times to get an item that any level 700+ player could replace by the Elemental Blade, which needs only 500 kills! How many PVPers are there above level 700 that you want to satisfy? huh? And does this really satisfy them when there is a stupid level 650 sword that has more attack?

Come on!!!! Either give real solutions, or do NOT waste our time on the forum!

We know you said that. But abiding by those self-imposed restrictions, means there's virtually no way to end up with a desirable item.

I'm not saying I'm ungrateful for looking back at certain aspects of the game that get left behind with new updates such as the Mace. Thank you for taking the time to look at the older items while working on the new ideas. The problem is that no matter how you guys decided to put the stats to the mace, it wouldn't have been better than what was already available.

I figured that this update to the Mace was to help it become more valued among the player base, which would include making the item more wanted in general and making the titan actually be worth hunting. I don't think a 4% difference between the votes (this is including all votes between armor/defense high/med/low) is really enough of a tell-tale sign that there was a definite ruling by the player base that def>arm or arm>def.

There were a few posts where having multiple recipes would have been an interesting idea to take maybe another day or two look into. Having 2 recipes availble, one with defense (Flail of Colossal Defence) and one with armor (Flail of Colossal Armor) could have possibly brought back much more interest into this. We, as the player base, or at least me, are okay with you guys having to take an extra day or two to mull over ideas given in the forum even if you set a date to have the update done by. A great deal of the players who talk on here would much rather see the game become better through this rather than to rush an update.

I think they said something like the mechanics were too difficult change the item over or something yesterday in the forums. If they chose to make it a different slot, then they could just have people upgrade their Mace --> boots or whatever slots though

did you want more interest in hunting the titan?

did you want to make the weapon more powerful?

were you just bored?

why would you steal the giant's boots? ..or his gloves?..or any other armor..you can't wear them. they are too big and would be uncomfortable

That.

I can understand why you can't make it another item directly, people may be wearing it etc.

But the new invented item could easily be something else, like boots. That is, until someone invents it and we'll have another "but people may be wearing it!" type of situation. Why not remedy it now by changing the recipe to something else... Soon it may be too late (although seeing how it's not that great, requires level 600 to invent and a PvP reward, maybe some time will pass).

Yesterday, I saw the thread saying you would fix the mace, I thought 'excellent, just what we needed, today the cows rock'

Today, I see the recipe, we need a moo bank to fix it into something that doesnt look that appealing to me, I think 'excellent, what a waste of time, today the cows dont rock'.

Uhm...all the titans are supposed to be huge...by that logic, none of us should be able to wear oggy's gloves, skaldir's snowshoes, tsuki's bad hairdo, or the squid's pinky ring. In order to wear the vortex stone we need a chain that makes what Notorious B.I.G. used to wear look like ladies' fine jewelry.....

Seriously, now, RJ.

Cows, you have a chance to fix something quickly before damage is done...

Will this be another of those situations when the fix arrives too late and people are frustrated about losing resources, acting on bad info etc.? Hopefully not...
