I have a suggestion. Add the maximum gold cost for FSP at 300k gold. That way, if gold sink fail, gold per FSP should be capped at 300k. The valid gold range should be between 75k and 300k.

Stop the FSP cost of 500k gold by capping the maximum gold at 300k gold. It should keep the game fair because level 100 tend to rake in 160k gold in 4 days, which is enough for 1 FSP.

Yikes! I saw 180k gold per FSP! And it's rising fast! The real cause of gold increase? Players fighting over top gold. For example, player A put 160k gold per FSP, then player B put 161k gold. Then player C put 165k gold. Player B put 167k gold. Player C put 169k gold and player A put 170k gold.

Then players sell off FSP to the highest gold of 170k and the highest current gold in marketplace decreased to 169k gold. Suppose a lot of players sell off FSP and then the FSP sellers get 100 stammed by an idiot who knocked off millions of gold? OMG!

And for marketplace improvement, add the name of character who created the request. This should help player to know which request is theirs and know who the FSP sellers are selling FSP to. Please? I cannot even know which request is mine. And cap the amount of gold per FSP to 300k gold.

I watched the marketplace gold change and the gold decreased a bit. It was used to be 165-180k gold and now it's 162k gold. But then it went up to 165k gold. Talk about fluctuation.

No, Don't put any caps, let it rise. When it goes high enough HCS will be forced to add a new game feature :P.

It used to be under 70k way back when I started. :o

- Gold cap at MP had been implemented and it turned out into disaster, IIRC.
- Prices is always rising no matter what. Especially for MP, as the price was set by the people consensus. The only way to stop the inflation is by having everyone to stop overbidding others at some point. However, people will always rising their bid because of two things: Less FSP on the market and the risk of being PvP-ed.
- Adding the name who put the bid will inflates the price on MP even more.
- You could easily see your own request as it's the only one has the 'cancel' [x] icon.

I had suggested an idea about listing cost modification, where the cost for liting FSP was based on two factors:
1. The level of the player. The higher the levels, the more listing cost.
2. The amount of gold listed. If the bid was listed for buying FSP in bulk, the cost would be higher.

I believe it could act as a gold sink, control the FSP price, and balance the FSP cost between lower and higher player, somewhat. But everybody rejected this idea, saying gold gain was stagnant after lv.300, higher player shouldn't be punished for helping newer ones, higher player showed dedication, and this, and that, and this, and that...

In other word, if you just started to play and can't afford the FSP on the MP then Ha-ha! Too bad for you.
Stinks, isn't it?

So I am revising the suggestion. For the fee, it should be scaled to the level.

The main cause of gold increase is player overbidding each other.

I will always buy FSP for 160k gold.

When I created my account, the FSP price was 140k gold. At this rate, FSP price will go up to 200k gold in the next year and HCS would be forced to shut down the marketplace. Then we would have to use secure-trade.

I tend to buy FSP from Rogie for 160k gold each. I usually give him 40 or 80k gold at a time to avoid being attacked by idiots.

Why will they be forced to shut down the Marketplace?

I agree with Denyza on this. Listing cost should be based on the player's level. Also if I remember correctly, this isn't the first time the MP prices have risen. the last time this happened, HCS added another gold sink and the price of FSP went back down.

doubt ever happen as HCS needs people to spend rl £ to buy fsp or there be no game so if cant afford gold for fsp then more likey to spend rl £ so that means a bigger christmas bonus for them :)

What if somebody receive hundreds of FSPs and sell it in Marketplace then the FSP sellers ask someone to attack the FSP sellers to sink millions of gold? That would pull the gold price per FSP down to 125k per FSP.

What if the FSP sellers want to sink millions of gold? Then he would be running around with 100 million gold on hand. And he put "Attack me! Do it for gold sinking!" on his biography. Then a lot of PvPers attack and sank 20 million gold and 75 million gold stolen and FSP seller now have only 5 million gold left? Then the FSP sellers turn 5 million gold, 125k per FSP, and end up with 40 FSPs purchased.

I watched the marketplace and the gold per FSP inflated even more to 170k per FSP.

I think the solution to constant FSP price rising is to shorten the amount of time the request will remain on Market Place.

Others have already told you why the first part of your suggestion is bad, so I'll address this:

And for marketplace improvement, add the name of character who created the request. This should help player to know which request is theirs and know who the FSP sellers are selling FSP to. Please? I cannot even know which request is mine.

No. You can easily tell which request is yours because it's the one with the X next to it. You know, the cancel request button. If player names were next to their requests, that'd just be an easy way of advertising who has gold on them. Then no one would use the FSP MP for fear of being robbed while trying to make a purchase.

I am waiting for someone to sink 10 million gold. Suppose someone has 1000 FSP and began to sell FSP and gain gold quickly. Then the FSP seller goes to the scavenging caves with 100 empty BP space and put 50k gold, and chose to scavenge 200 times. 50,000 times 200 equals 10,000,000.

Think of it... 10 million gold down the drain. I am sure HCS would reward the FSP sellers for sinking 10 million gold. Suppose the FSP seller get the gold per FSP in marketplace down to 130k? Or maybe down to 100k?

And the FSP seller drop most items gained during scavenging caves?

No HCS wouldn't reward anyone for this lol! And it happens occasionnaly that someone buys all the gold in marketplace. It goes back up in the following minutes...

I HATE MAINTENANCES!!!

Everybody should deserve reserve stamina for maintenances.

I wish gold per FSP would be capped at 300k gold.

as roan said. sometimes someone -will- clean out the marketplace. Its amazing to see it, but its very short lived. As I and many others have said, they need to lift the cap on the other side of the marketplace so that people use both parts of market, not just the one. Then the market would stand a chance of working as it was intended. Until then, the market for gold is based on the players willingness to part with gold at whatever value for an exchange of fsp, and only upon that.

This isn't some great "New" idea you're posting about. It is a tired, dead, and overly kicked horse.

oh and No one likes it when the game is down, no need to scream about it.

Think about it kitteh would you rather have the game go down or be locked out of your account? Some people are in that situation and you need to be considerate.

Why? it will probably never reach that figure anyway.

Each time a maintenance occurs, anybody with full stamina will waste a lot of stamina.

One way to create a better gold sink in the MP would be to charge a 'tax' to those buying gold as well as the fee to post(which needs to be increased).
