I watched the marketplace. I think HCS should make a line graph that show the average price of FSP in a length of 6 months.

Even though it will likely never happen, dare I say I actually like this idea :shock:How about 10 gold times the level for forum post? For example, it should cost 1500 gold to post when at level 150. That will sink some gold.

Although being a flat rate of 1k per post or something would likely be more fair to those higher up. (Dont ask why Im wasting my time hammering out balance issues on something like this

I like Angie's idea of charging 1 gold per message sent in game better

If they implement this, will you stop posting? How about 10 gold times the level for forum post? For example, it should cost 1500 gold to post when at level 150. That will sink some gold.
Seriously though, bad idea. The purpose of a forum is to communicate, share ideas, etc. Charging a fee to post would reduce the number of people posting, therefore destroying communication between players in the FS community. For example, I often reply to posts in the Newbie Help section to give pointers. Why should I pay a fee in order to provide others with game info? That's totally backwards.

The gold per FSP is rising at an alarming rate! It's at 173k gold per FSP! 3 days ago, it was at 165k gold! I think it is caused by people overbidding each other. The solution is for someone with bunch of FSPs who is going to clean out the marketplace by selling FSPs to all selections. Then he should get the gold per FSP down to 75k.
And then it will be back up to 170k within the hour.

Is there anything we can do to reduce the gold per FSP? I always buy 1 FSP for 160k.

Wait there is, not selling fsp or buying any for gold.
If no one wants to buy an fsp for gold it means the prices for the fsp will drop, till they reach the point where players want to buy again.
However that won't happen.
Since gold is a fake currency and fsp are obtained through spending real life money.
Putting a cap on the marketplace isn't the way to go.
There has been a period that a marketplace didn't exist. People bought and sold fsp for gold back then aswell. Putting a cap will eventually mean that the marketplace won't be used anymore.

There are effective simple solutions that I have seen other people mention, such as making Bounty Tickets available to buy with gold only. They just have to swap "buy-able" things into gold instead of FSPs.

Some of Kitteh's ideas make you think, or even help you develop better ideas in your own heads.

Btw, sam, why'd you bump this? It's a 20 day old thread, it would have died...

Although not many people agree with his ideas, a lot of thought process goes into creating suggestions like this one. And although not something I would personally agree with, some of the ideas can be reformulated and made better.
So take this time now to stop with the rudeness, it is becoming a testament to your inability to argue a point. Flaming is not part of forums, debate is. Debate intelligently rather than flinging insults like a monkey throws it's own feces.
And back to the main topic, I'm sure FSP price will fluctuate much like money does irl. The problem is just creating an FSP sink. Perhaps converting all remaining gold into FSP, or vice versa? Just a thought.
And since further bumping this thread would be pointless, forum PMs about this topic would probably suffice...

- Adding the name who put the bid will inflates the price on MP even more
How so? If there's a name there's a target. Who wants to be a visible target trying to convert large sums of gold? I don't see the logic in your statement.
Removing the ability to Bounty a PvP Ladder attack is something I've been thinking about. If enough people want it, I don't see why not. It might be a relatively easy tweak, unlike the rest of the suggestions.

lol, maybe that would be a good idea.
And fourbrezio, both of those ideas show a lack of understanding about how the game works, which would be fine, since we all do it too at some point, if he didn't present his ideas as fact and consistently rip off other games.
