We've removed the requirement to update the password as it was causing many issues with players.


I do feel for you cows. With the number of players you have ANY change you ever make it always going to have some bombarding the forum about it. I think the problem you had here was not the idea / change itself but the implementation and more important the communication. I used to work in change and risk management. You don't get the comms right, then no matter how good the rest it, it fails.

If you are still having trouble logging in, and are unable to reset your password (changed emailed address or whatever), submit a ticket under General Support (you create a seperate support account to do this) and provide details of one of the transactions (payments) on your game account.

With this information, we will be able to process a manual reset for you :)

What if you have not donated to the game? Are those people screwed?

Um...I'm kind of afraid to log out from my laptop, and log onto my desktop to hunt the Oggy that's out.

While trying to change my pw in Preferences, it appears I no longer know it. :(

What, exactly, are the 'details' of a transaction you're looking for?

Sure there is. Companies should take the warning labels off stuff and let them weed themselves out. :P

this update is s*it.. I need to rechange my pass 4 times. It's lot easier for all that his password make md5 hash and put that as pass.

example:
Pass n00b -> md5 16e029226d8960b2d7cba16cab5f7044

put md5 as pass and If someone hack that one is god!

It's useless knowledge if not shared.

From leos3000: Hoof I had reset my password earlier in the day at work and when I tried to log on recently it did not work, tried old a new passwords several times, can't log on here the game or support, I have tried resetting it but have never recieved the email to reset it, so I have also made a ticket under general support is there anything else u can do to help? Thanks

He changed his password, now he can not log back in. When he goes to the support site it wants him to sign in to send in a ticket. He can not log in there either and he has sent in for a password reset but it keeps sending the e-mail but he is not receiving it. What can he do now?

At least the forgotten password link works, I was able to use it to get back into the game (after the 15 minute timeout for incorrect logins) after trying for 6 hours.

Thanks for trying Hoof. And thanks for hanging around to fix things so that we can all get our fix of the game we love.

Also my email adress i registered with is deleted...
Means i won't be able to play anymote???


If you have made a donation to the game in the past, email in a support ticket with your transaction details and a request to change the email and we can sort that out for you. (We can use the payment details to verify your identity).


Hmm, now I cannot log into support to submit a ticket.

Appears that support@huntedcow.com no longer accepts mail.

Making things a bit tough to get straightened out :~P

Go to http://support.huntedcow.com/

Choose general support

click register

make an account with an e-mail account you can reach

( first one I tried gave an error when I used the mail link I got, so I tried another )


Then you can explain your problem.
Worked for me. I could not get into FS, Forum or normal support system
( My problem was an old now defunct e-mail address )



Hope this helps people like me who can/could only read these forum posts
