I know I'm not new but this seems like a "n00b" question, so I'm putting it here.
I always got by before by my Armour beating the monster's Damage, but now most have Piercing Strike and I'm dying... a LOT, I'm wondering does it -50% of the body armour equipped or the Armour total?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Armour total seems ridiculous, and makes having armour at all kind of defunct.

Armour total.
If PS is causing problems, get yourself a Dull Edge buff (either via one of the two potions - Dull Edge and Notched Blade - or via a the Lvl 800 buff)

Armour total? Hmm, now that complicates things somewhat (and I can see why PvPers go for Defensive sets!).
Okay, so Notched Blade's cheap and looks like a MUST. Thanks for the advice, Ananasii.

Force shield and Shield imps would help a fair bit too. The few times when their PS kicks in, the imp should save you.... and the Force shield should save some imps. lol

Buffs like Dull Edge, Forceshield, Last Ditch, and Shockwave merely reduce the amount of times you will die using armor. Only SSI, or imp, will save you 100% of the time. This buff has been changed, recently, to work with armor sets. Your best bet is to use a defensive set with imp. 2%s in defense occur much less frequently than PS in armor, saving you imps. All depends on what you have available to you really.
