i think better you think rather posting this.. a player on the bb can use it quite efficiently

Obviously, you're the one who needs to get some better reading comprehension. The point was being made about GvG conflicts, not bounty activity.

And a player on the board can use it - but so can the hunter. You keep thinking of how it will help weaker targets, but you completely fail to grasp that those players who already refuse anything but a guaranteed win can also take massive advantage of this buff.

and a arena players who create new setup's can save their intellectual property and get their setups due wins

You need 2+ hours to set up and join an arena suit?

Absolutely love how many theoryheads are in this thread claiming what will and won't happen and how "easy" it is to do this or that.

Theoryheads? Is that some sort of backhanded attack towards me?

iam surprise to see the gvg every time 50/50 win's.. oops.. i had never seen a gvg that is 38/39 or 42/43 etc.. that clearly state the gvg position in game ..

Im guessing your basing this on your own experience, as its not true :(

Right now gvg is most rewarding for doing the most possible with the most ease. Few guilds care about their rating and either dont know how, cant afford to, Or simply dont care enough about gvg to properly have all members of a guild in proper sets. The combination of these two facts simply causes lots of farming on the easiest targets they can find, this is why you see the constant 50/50s.

Any set can be beat somewhat easily if its buffed, but GvG as it is now rewards effort though time invested in coverage and watching for income after setting up defenses properly. When two guilds that care about rating enough meat, you will see some truly epic battles many of which dont involve either side getting 50/50 without finding the other with no green lights on.

Unfortunately there are very few guilds that take pride that much in the art of gvg.

Anyways, amongst the top echelons of the ladder, what Graves is saying about cloak is to a certain degree completely viable.

People in this very thread have done 24 hour stands to ensure GvG victories.

Guilty, and I know Im not alone at all in that club (not necessarily within the thread)

If the target is online anyways, there is very little chance of you can hit them safely at all anyways if they know what they are doing. With this buff though being at 2 hoursish with Mrew master, thats a lot of game hours logged in they can skip without having to worry about being online.

I think RJ's solution of simply reducing the duration to 30 mins rather then the 90 it is works great. This would also cause for alot more gold to be sunk to pull off such a tactic as Graves is projecting let alone overall.

What scares me most is that its only "Lesser" cloak
Keep in mind I love the buff though, I think its fun  Just overpowered in duration

why you don't remove from auction house 'Potion of the scholar'=LIB50, 'Potion of reflection'=REFL100, 'Breaker Potion'=Spell Breaker125, 'Potion of Repair'=Mastersmith25, 'Potion of final strike'=LD100, 'Potion of Lesser Sanctuary'=Sanct25, 'Potion of Supreme Doubling'=Dobler450, 'Potion of Search'=Find Item75??????
I think nobody would miss them... 'Potion of Learning'= AL125, 'Blood Fist Potion'=Berserk175, 'Potion of Sanctuary' are not so useful but probably some low level players use them. So would be more space in AH for new potions.
Thx :)

Come on. Upsetting players, whether intentional or not, is how this game rolls... man. It'll all be cool after a while...

Probably there are no problems if someone has more than 50,000 stam, but people with less than 10,000 stam cant spend 1,000,000 for either wither350 or ew1000. Some of my friends are thinking to leave the game for this reason, and i'm very sad :(
To understeand better, this a reply to a ticket of one of them: The potions have been cycled out for a little while, to make room for the new ones. The potions shall be cycled back into the AH soon.
What reply is this???? This is intentional and there is only one reason to make such a choice, decreasing the returning rate of such ones leaving useless potions... and if someone have a brain can understand...
If the HCS made an error with distil buff cause some potions will become too strong they still can come back. I prefer the game like was before...

I have added in all the missing potions - so all will be available like before, however the quantities will remain unchanged.

What does this mean, exactly? Does this mean that there will be as many wither, EW, FI, etc. potions available as there were before the update? Or that they will be availble in reduced numbers like they were after the update?

My issue with the new Auction House Potions. -As you said your not going to do... CHANGE THE Quantities.
I believe that There should be at least 20 potions on the Market place at one time. This should be increased across the board for all the special potions to keep it consistent. Just a thought.

I'm not sure where this one came in, since I didn't read about it in any of these updates. But DC 400 potion!? First you guys pump up Armor like crazy with tons of new buffs, structures, and potions, and now you make a potion that renders defense obsolete? WTF is this. I'm dumbfounded.

When Forn put all the pots back, he clicked all the pots that were associated with the AH, regardless of what the pot was. Just wait a while, we'll get an "Oopsies" from him sooner or later... probably later

I guess when he said ALL the missing potions he really meant ALL! The Black Curse (DC400) Potion was removed from the game way back when after the very first day of scavenging for being too powerful. Now you reintroduce it with absolutely no warning? What gives, HCS?

Lesser Distil Potion + Black Curse Potion = ????????????????????

I think they should leave the DC400 in, on a very low release rate. That will sink a massive amount of gold.

I actually still have a DC400 potion that's been sitting in my BP since that first day of scavenging, waiting for an opportunity to arise. lol. Still haven't found one yet.

I am confused at the purpose of the change (and would love to hear an official response).

Reducing the quantity will increase the price. That's simple math.

So does Hoof think ALL the potions were being sold for too little gold or just some? Because this change effects ALL the potions and maybe they didn't want/need to do that.

Isn't there some other effective change in the code that could give Hoof the power to change the quantity released into the Special AH section on an individual potion or case-by-case basis?

Maybe the whole code on how the AH Special is set up needs to be redone? Maybe the same code could be done with PvP Arena and how often individual items are released into the game? Give the game managers a lot of power to tweak the percentage something appears in these locations?

Maybe Hoof thought JUST Berserker Potions or FI1000 Potions were being sold for too little money. Maybe they can tweak just THAT POTION and how often it appears in AH rather than effect EVERY potion unilaterally.

I still can't comprehend that Hoof thinks the Potion of Truths and Potion of Fatalities were being sold for too little in AH and this change was needed. Since these potions are mostly needed by high level players and the TOTAL NUMBER of high level players in the game is increasing demand on these potions is continuously going up already, even without a change in the number released in the game.

Very confused in Hoof's decision.... looking for a good answer....

The DC400 was put back by accident - it is being removed from the list asap.

Hoof why oh why has the specials been changed so much? The way it is now is a major change from last week. This is having an effect on a large number of players who don't have the time or resources to compete for pots that were more readily available this time last week. I am all for gold sinks but there's a difference between gold sink and out pricing players out of the game without even an explanation. And a lot of these are loyal players and forum contributors.

Thank you.

You know, if you explained to us what you wanted to accomplish by lowering the spawn rate of potions, maybe we can HELP you and suggest some changes.

It's very frustrating to me when you make a change, then listen to all the negative feedback, then change back without ever debating what you wanted to accomplish in the first place.

I am still at a complete loss as to WHO in your company suggested such a thing and WHY people listened and agreed to the change. There had to be some discussion internally in your company about the pros/cons of such a move, correct?

Why can't we be privy to some of the pros you used in your decision making process?

I just don't understand you guys at all in how change decisions are made.

I still havent seen more than 1-2 EW1000 and With 350 potions being sold at a time. Maybe it is just an amazing random chance but it continues to look like the new potions have changed how often the old potions appear for sale.
