1) Worry about high-level clears - it's a 90-minute buff currently(all of this talk worrying about a possible 175 is just chatter at this point, since there's been no confirmation that these new pots will become future buffs). Most of the time, when a high level player(800+) goes up on the board, they sit there for over an hour before someone takes the bounty anyway. If they're offline, and the buff is only in pot form, you have only to wait until the buff wears off. It's not like there are hundreds of bounty hunters waiting to clear level 900s.
2) At the current selling price(sure to come down in time, I know), it's not like these pots are going to flood into every day use. I'm sure plenty of the really high level players will have them, but they're not the primary ones being hit during hunts/gold transfers as gold sinks. With the application of these pots, the price is going to stay pretty high...and thus are never going to flood into the common players' hands. Those worrying about ruining gold sinks are little on the edge.
3) With only a handful of 1000+ players, I'm retaining hope that they'll have their voices heard about any of these(except entrench) becoming 175+ buffs. While they undoubtedly enjoy the FSP they make from selling buffs, they also still enjoy the game, and know that a 175 Distil or Cloak would effectively ruin aspects of the game(Distil making hunting ridiculously easy, Cloak truly complicating PvP).
As the current pots stand now, I have no issue with them, but will likely never bother with any of them except Entrench.

So if i use 'Lesser Distil' potion when i have activated on me this skill, finally i will have level 52 Distil. With enough number of iterations i can reach very high levels of this skill. Let see some math:
start with 50
- after 10 itretaions i have level 85
- after 20 itretaions i have level 139
- after 30 itretaions i have level 226
- after 40 itretaions i have level 369
- after 50 itretaions i have level 602
If i am high level with 1000 bp slots, and i hunt one time for one week (or for month wich is good assumption) i have enough time to gather this number of potions even in low prices.
Let examine another case. If We have level 175 skill (castable). In this case we will start at level 175 Distiler and in first iteration we will reach directly level 183. So in this case we will have:
- after 10 itretaions i have level 299
- after 20 itretaions i have level 487
- after 30 itretaions i have level 794
- after 40 itretaions i have level 1293
- after 50 itretaions i have level 2107
I think this is awesome buff.
I might (probably) not be thinking straight, but would it let you drink another? I thought they fixed it to where you cannot drink potions or buff yourself with the equal or lower version of the buff. So if you drink a distil pot and try to drink another, I don't believe it would let you. Even in buff form, I believe it's only CA that allows you to choose the level, otherwise I can see the problem there.

the big question here is:
"Does the Distil work before or after you drink?"
If it works before, then these compounding/stacking is a problem
If it works only after you drink, then all this fuss about compounding/stacking was only for fun

only tweak i can see is making distill not work with FI, 4L and UB pots to help protect the economy of the game
cloak looks like it will be a whole lot of fun.. depending on which side of the attack you are on i guess.. am sure it will wreak some havoc as well.
entrench looks good, am guessing it will work like NMV, if so when in buff format can we have it adjustable like it is with CA, and if so can we get it done to NMV as well..
other than that outstanding potion ideas..
I don't see why Distil couldn't work with both FI and 4L. The maximum 4L we can get now is only level 200 and I have hunted or scavenged for hours at a time 4L200 and I really see no noticeable improvement over 4L175 anyway. I don't think a few more points will hurt that much. And regarding FI1000, what's the big difference between FI1000 and FI1175?? not much at all. UB I agree with however. It should not work with UB.

Also note, the Distil potion will not work on Distil potions (ie. it will not be possible to stack the Distil levels up). Also it only affects potions used when Distil is active - ie. you can't boost current skills that are active by using another Distil potion.
Hope this clarifies things

stats and equipment, making PvP nothing more than throwing a dart while blindfolded at a moving target. It would be assumed any attackers would use a suicide set.. and anyone who knows about gear can easily get around a suicide set, so that is what they will be doing.. in essence YES making PvP against a target who knows anything about FS nearly impossible. Thus giving them the way out of PvP they have been crying for for the past 3 years. At least when they dont want to be PvP'd. Such as deposits, and such, removing one of the life blood components out of the game since there will be little reason to PvP anymore.

Haven't tried it but cloak seems by the description as it will/ can change pvp/gvg a lot. So you're forcing people to hit in suicidal now removing any sort of skills involved.
removing? how so? The other skills will still be there on the target, and will still activate, The attacker will have to buff up EVERY time because they just dont know. if anything it would force people to have to use more buffs. and I can guarantee you anyone with this buff will know their attacker will most likely be using a suicide set, so they will situate their gear and buffs to beat a suicide set. If you have the gold to buy this pot, or to even NEED this pot, you have the gold/FSP to optimize your gear.
Assume I wanna accept a high level bounty wearing Cloak, I've no idea where my "opening" lies, so I better just make sure I have enough attack and some damage and start hitting with SW/SB. GvG targets not gonna bother I think since it's suicidal that's mostly used in defending anyway. Being able to see their buffs doesn't really matter since for example Black Death is pretty useless if you have 0 attack etc etc etc (i.e it doesn't really tell all that much without seeing the actual stats).
I think this is one out of many updates where minimal thought has been given to the consequences and how it might change fundamental parts of the game and not neccesarely in a positive way.
Please remove this buff/potion.

LMAO... 10 stam with master thief... making it impossible to bounty.. well then instead of going after the big gold, I can 10 stam my way through FS with master thief getting everyones piddly gold... cause that evens everything out perfectly (sarcasm)

LMAO... 10 stam with master thief... making it impossible to bounty.. well then instead of going after the big gold, I can 10 stam my way through FS with master thief getting everyones piddly gold... cause that evens everything out perfectly (sarcasm)
oooh oooh oooh better yet... 10 stam my way hourly with master thief to everyone I encounter in my range who put a damper on my PvPing by using Cloak
