I agree with Maehdros on that. it's so not a good idea especially with so long a time duration,also there could be an abuse of it, or am I wrong?, an overzealous player can down it and attack repeatedly on one player and that player wouldn't see the attacker stats to retaliate, not everyone bounty's some do retaliate and not being able to see what stats you were hit with open the door for abusive attacks .It's also suicidal to go up against someone when you can't see the stats they have, to calculate ones retaliation.and the BB? how will it work on
there?

suggestion for that once they appear on the BB it's ineffective.or be knocked off by spell breaker.and the duration time be less, seen as we have Brew master which already extend duration.

Cloak doesn't prevent you from PvP'ing - it just hides the targets stats.

We are going to be implementing a new skill called 'Backstab' soon however which will give a chance of making '10 stamina' attacks not possibly to bounty.

Also note, the Distil potion will not work on Distil potions (ie. it will not be possible to stack the Distil levels up). Also it only affects potions used when Distil is active - ie. you can't boost current skills that are active by using another Distil potion.

Hope this clarifies things :)


Quick Question about Distil. I must drink the distill potion FIRST before any other potions, correct? And then it would act like the Brew Master Buff in raising the level of any other potions I drink, just as brew master raises the duration of them. Is this correct? For the PvP'ers out there, why not arrange it that the newly raised buffs only work as long as the Distill potion is still active, meaning, if someone is pvping or gvg'ing, they could nuke the target's Distil buff and then all other potions would revert to normal, something like that. Or am I missing something?

Those worry about the Hoof's most recent comment need to be sure to read it carefully - it says a "chance". Depending on what the chance is, I think this buff might things kind of interesting. My hopes is that it would increase the number of PvPers(sucking in those who normally wouldn't), because it gives LESS risk...not NO risk.


If I get hit I want to decide how to respond, if someone MTs me for a beeeeelllion gold, I sure wanna toss 'em to the wolfs.


I say this seriously, because I don't know the answer(and it doesn't particularly apply to this thread). How often do WK members really get hit for gold, on the off-chance they're actually hunting? Between the limited number of gold-hitters at your level, and the fact that most of them are in your guild. :wink: ...it can't be that often.

well, you should've had Deflect on with that "beeeeeeeeeelion" gold on you, you have a chance to make the attack happen, they have the chance to have the bounty not happen


I've been stomped for deflected attacks, not sure you can compare those two. This doesn't not improve PvP in any way (just as deflect doesn't but I still see a purpose for that buff).

You could always just do 11 stam attacks to get around it.

Because if that was the idea, that's a perfect way to implement it.

Cloak equals terrible fail. :cry: Why would you do this? Can some of the monsters wear cloak too sometimes then? Take away the enjoyment of understanding mechanics, and how to use your knowledge to play, just make it a toss up? GvG will be a farce, the bounty board the same. My heart is breaking, why?

Backstab? Seriously? PvP should carry risk! Haven't you guys said it yourselves cows? Please don't do that.

Cry babies voices are always the loudest... but hoof, don't believe that a few people complaining means anything. All these same people complain about everything; they should have quit a long time ago; but i think they enjoy complaining about everything so they stay... to complain.

I think all the buffs are interesting... Don't think i'll be using them much personally (not worth it). But they are interesting.

I also recognize almost all these buffs being suggested by many people in the level 1000 thread. Cloak was HEAVILY favored..... Let's get those people who voted for it to come in here and drown out the cry babies.

3 New Skills!

We have added 3 new skills to the game, which are obtainable via potions. The new skills are as follows...

Cloak
Hides your stats (Attack, Defense, Damage, Armor and HP) and equipped items from other players for 'x' minutes where 'x' is the level of the skill multiplied by 3.

Distil
+0.1% per point increase to the level of potions used while the skill is active. (Has no effect on the Cloak skill)

Entrench
+0.25% per point of damage is transferred to armor at the start of combat.

The new potions will be available within the next hour or so via the 'Special' section of the auction house.

*sigh*

Distil just seems like a win button, hoof... a lot of potions are already overpowered. :?

How is PvP even fun in the first place. You see someone in your range, check their stats, change gear to beat them and attack them. Not too much in the way of excitement there.

Atleast make Cloak go both ways; no-one can see your stats, you can't see their stats. And also, if you must keep it, make it always potion only, low level potions only.

It would still carry risk - it would only give a chance and only for '10 stamina' attacks.

As for 'Cloak', it would take a lot of gold / timing to keep your stats and equipment cloaked all the time.

We'll most likely make 'counter' skills to them in the future also so don't worry :)

I hope these buffs will not be the ones for level 1000 , since it will ruin the game IMO

Distil level 175 is 17.5% higher potion level
Cloak - well, i dont like it at all, and at 175 the time duration will be too long
Entrench - i think is the only ok one in the bunch

As for backstab , i really hope you wont release it

Overall , i am a bit disappointed with this update, i was hoping for better skills ( you know, the good ideas many here posted ) , and was hoping for something new to invent, maybe more resources in the caves, or a third cave

I really hope you guys have something better then what you just put out

Interesting idea...If you want to use cloak, you'll have to run the risk of not being able to see the other person's stats... Interesting... But most invisibility cloaks do let the person being cloaked see out. lol

Please tell me how a character is supposed to punish the hitter in this case if they feel they've been done wrong? You get tickets about PvP, do you think people gonna be happy when they now can't even bounty us villains ? LOL

Worst idea ever closely followed by Cloak.

It's not fun to YOU Wesleyao, but it is fun to ME. I think leveling is boring, except to get new gear. Don't dismiss what makes the game worthwhile for me, out of hand like that. Thanks.

Thank you for clarification. I must admit that i have small error in my calculations. Levels are not so high, but this is not important now ... :oops:
