Poll: Which of the options above do you feel would help improve the PvP Ladder? (359 member(s) have cast votes)

Which of the options above do you feel would help improve the PvP Ladder?

  1. Voted Remove PvP Rating transfer from the Bounty Board. (73 votes [20.33%])

    Percentage of vote: 20.33%

  2. Voted Limit transfer from an individual player to once every 24 hours (this should help prevent organised ratings transfers). (126 votes [35.10%])

    Percentage of vote: 35.10%

  3. Voted Bonus to PvP Rating Transfer for 100 stamina attacks. (134 votes [37.33%])

    Percentage of vote: 37.33%

  4. Voted No changes (26 votes [7.24%])

    Percentage of vote: 7.24%

actually reading your entire idea avalbane and not just looking at the rewards and brackets like I 1st did there are several flaws that need to be covered or you idea is pretty much a farmers market.

1. does every hit give the same amount of points regardless of the opponents rating? I see you have 2 for every 10 stam and 20 for every 100 stam, but no real parameters to when transfers can stop or be capped, which is a very bad idea as this shows no dominance, but just who either has the most stamina, or hits the most people/takes the most bounties.

2. even tho PVPers do not like gloat or honor, they are active buffs and need to be accounted for with hits.


All my figures were based on if both the attacker and defender each had the standard 1,000 PvP Rating. Of course, the rating transfer would have to be adjusted based on the attackers and defenders Rating if they were different, but I was just using the "standards."

As for Gloat and Honor, I didn't factor either of those into the figures either. To be honest, I didn't feel like calculating all of those numbers. :mrgreen:

A lot of poor ideas coming out now. Separate ladders every 100 lvls? No no no. Top 10's for each ladder yet only the top 5 get tokens and first only getting 5? no no no no no. This is just getting way to far out of the realm. Cows take this over already and make a separate topic with the ideas you liked best. And why are all these just lvlers chiming in on something they no nothing about? They make no sense in here and then try to bash people. Go play with your doom sheeps!



The reason that we "levelers" are chiming in is because the end result of these discussions will directly affect us since we will be the ones getting attacked. When all the multi characters/duplicate accounts out there being harvested are gone where will everyone turn to fill the gaps? Levelers. So in spite of what ppl think, we do have a vested interest in the end result of this discussion. If not here where should we have our say?


Then protect yourself.


Making it work like rp and removal of the ladder will work!

wow those last quotes got all screwed up lol.

basically levelers whine because they lose exp. pvpers whine because they lose rating. no one will ever be happy with the way the game works. but the bottom line is this, you put us on the bounty board for you lost exp. so it only seems right that that is what WE lose. imo

Ok here is my complete idea.

Everyone starts at 10 rating. No more resetting ladder. A 10 stam hit gets 1 rating and so fourth up to a 100 stam that gets 10 rating. The ladder stays in affect so we can track one another and so the dominance medal can still be achieved. Rating transfer stays on the board. Bounty hunters can still bounty hunt and get rating and the higher ups can still have more targets than the 5 in their range.
A moo bank will be 1000 rating, the ruby thing 1250 and the egg 1500. You get your rating to where you want and then sell your rating. You have 1200 rating and buy a moo bank you now have 200 rating.

ok but if you make it a transfer off the board, that has no direct link to the targets accumulated rating then on board transfer is not needed. instead of the transfer being limited to once per day. make it once every 12 hours. the higher levels will not need to farm the board for rating as they can get it from there range. though it will be a little slower than someone at level 25.

Keeping it on the board tho will just leave it more open tho. BH'ers should be able to compete as well and the hunters will get a little happiness out of it. We will still lose rating but since it doesn't reset its not as big a deal but still a set back.

ok i can see that point. in the case of on board transfer then it should be treated the same way the prestige is treated then. 1 point transfer no matter the stamina used for an on the board attack.

PvP goes both ways. The PvPers cried till they implemented the 5 level max loss rule cause you couldnt handle the retributions for your own actions. Now you are looking for "fairness", so you can play the way you want to without regards for others. I know that there is PvP in this game but just like in life there are penalties for your actions. We lose levels and hard earned xp while you risk nothing. 5 levels to most PvPers is nothing (most being under level 50), and many desire to be deleveled.

pvp goes both ways? no it doesnt, because levelers use OTHERS to do for them what PVPers do for themselves. and no experience isnt something we really care about. my point is that we hit you for rating not your experience. you bounty us for your experience loss so that should be the thing we lose. you wanna keep from being hit by pvpers yet you dont want to make an active attempt to protect yourself, or make yourself a less likely target.

LOL You are all a riot. Obviously i dont do PvP or GvG. Ive been hit and expect to get hit even more after these posts, but you have opened my eyes to another aspect of this game and for that "thank you." As for us wanting you to lose XP cause we lose XP, I want your levels, take off the 5 level cap (but i get greedy too). When the 5 level cap was started there was no PvP ladder, now there is. "No pain, No gain"

if you ask me i think the exp loss on the board should be equal to the loss to the poster. at my level i take around 400k exp per 100 stam. how does that warrant losing millions of experience? that just seems like the punishment doesnt fit the crime.

What im talking about is for repeated attacks. Forgot to put that in. 5 levels for a single is fine, but unlimited for multiple attacks.
