Make the render blend in more with some smudging.
Make the text a little less visible, maybe a little smaller.
Blur the background a slight bit to create some depth.
Add a light source that fits your render.
Try some gradient maps to adjust the colors of your tag.

Tutorials aren't necessarily only to show you and outcome, but to teach you new techniques. They are mainly like guidelines, and not a rule book.

Don't, that's how a lot of people think at one time. I used to think that way.

That is a little better. But not so dark.
For a lightsource, just use a 200 pixel soft brush and brush around the edges of your tag with low opacity.

With the light source, it's not so bad. But maybe try foreground effects, and add some depth. (yah, all of my work lacks this, that's why it sucks)

The blending is good, though the lighting is off. If you notice the shadows on the render, the light is coming from the top of him. maybe a little to the right top. Try some light from there and add some gradient maps for better color blending.

You need to put the gradient map over the lightsource so the lightsource doesnt look to out of place.

So just move my light source underneath my gradient maps?
