My first try on photo manipulation. Period. I would love some advice/critique. It was done on GIMP.

Can I see the original stock please? So I can gauge how much work was put into this.

Ok. Maybe you should try some of the tutorials here on the forums.
They can teach you some techniques to help you learn new things. Thats how I started.

Sounds good. I mean, I try, but I really dont have that 'spark' to know what makes an image look better. I'll definately have a look at those tuts though. Thanks LS :)

Always remember this though. No one is ever any good when they start. Some of my first avatars were horrid. Worst than text slaps. And I improved.

Torrent "CS5" if you torrent anything. though both programs are excellent, I prefer photoshop.
