I see some round chops, which leads me to think you used eraser tool (what? seriously?). And some straight chops which makes me think you could have used polygonal lasso tool (eww).
Both techniques are not really 'wrong' to use, but there are better, that makes you achieve excellent results, and even in less time.
Google is the savior. Ask for its knowledge and enlighten your mind.
