The new bands for higher levels are not so great. There are just too few players here to really pvp. As for your new system...Now hitting someone outside of the 10 levels only steals rating...so people are getting posted for attacking for nothing but rating. Just seems to make pvp pointless!
People were only hitting for rating as well, so what's the difference? Saying 200k gold was a goldhit??
I'm wondering how the prestige exchange goes now though? Are we still getting farmed for that?

maybe out of +/-range hits should not be bounytable, but that in itself removes the risk of pvp in general.

I can see you'll be able to see who is getting farmed but that won't tell you who is doing the farming after the first few minutes of any ladder. I still think it's unwarranted attention to be listed in a part of the game you don't actively partake in. The ladder is supposed to show who is pvping - not who is getting hit.
If you watch the list you can see who is rising... that's the point of it. That shows you who is "farming". So I am not sure what the above comment even means.
There is still a problem for pvpers that want to hit just for gold as before these ladders. They now have thier potential target range halved at the top and bottom of the ladder. Maybe the idea of selecting the type of attack should apply. If attacking only for gold (potentially only for xp as well) then the full +/- 10 or 5 range should be available. Rating only attacks should be limited to the actual ladder range.
2 things
If you are at the top of your bracket you are the strongest gear wise in that range
Secondarily
Hoof has mentioned that people at the extremes of the ranges may soon have potential to still have +-10 range for attacking. From that comment I assume he's still working on that portion of pvp.

It's better to extend gold loss to the entire bracket and keep all attacks bountable.

Getting attacked for any reason when you don't wish to participate in pvp is annoying at best. Bounties are going to get placed by some even for rating only attacks so as to discourage getting attacked or farmed for rating at every reset.

I enjoyed hitting people in my bracket for gold...was a new concept that really opened up pvp.
As for being able to bounty for a rating hit...my only response to that is why should someone potentially be able to take 5 levels for taking absolutely nothing off them but I agree with lahona I would rather be able to take gold than have the bounty issue removed

i totally agree, the extended gold hits was alittle rediculous when the brackets were 100 levels big but these new smaller brackets puts people on alot more level playing field(in gear i mean). gold hits should be for the whole range.

Having attacks that take no xp encourages trading enough, to be able to not take gold is handing traders a free pass, while others trying to do it legit get double xp loss bounties for taking nothing but rating.

PvP Changes
For normal (ie. not bounties) PvP attacks, gold will now only be stolen if the target player is within 10 levels of the attacker.

Exactly...those tokens and items are of course useful but only if you want to sell them (farmers of pvp points) I know if i end up with enough I am getting one item (that i have lost 10 levels and 10,000 stam trying to get so far) so if I did sell it for lets say 2000 fsps...I am guessing i would just break even.
Not really much of a gain for me. More just something i can contribute to my guild.

I'm seeing all the same arguments and complaints that come with every attempt to 'fix' pvp. (From both sides of the debate too)

As far as I was concerned there was never a need to 'fix' pvp, people had issues with the ladder.
Tokens coming into being have been and are still the problem.
