and the enhancements don't really work. any "protect gold" would be negated immediatly by the "thievery" enhancement. so that doesn't really count imo.

well i really don't mind getting attacked usually, just when i'm hunting i don't like it. Especially when people use spellbreaker and such, maybe there should be another option for the pvp protection for 1 hour for 1 fsp?

You are thinking of Master Thief. The rate of Master Thief kicking in is so low it doesn't even warrant going out of your way to get unless you've got a guaranteed win or can keep the same stats. 100% Thievery for gold hitting is the way to go but Protect Gold does make it 0 sunk and taken if it kicks in. Protect Gold doesn't happen all too often either but it's sure a heck of a lot more than Master Thief.
They just need to revert to the old system where if you wanted to get payback you took 5 levels from the attacker via the board.

There is nothing wrong with the duration of it.
And I have no issue with this suggestion, as long as it costs a lot more to use it. I would want it to have a major consequense to have the ability to use it.

no i wasn;t thinking of Master Thief, I was thinking of Thievery. And yes protect gold doesn't really help. I've had it kick in once or twice in all those 2 years i've been playing. But the point is that protect gold is the counter to Master thief.. what is the counter to thievery?
Then your thinking is flawed, because thievery does not negate protect gold in any way shape or form.
And the counter to thievery is to not have gold, get deflect, or get pvp protection.

And instead of the cloak buff i would happily buy PVP protection for the day i was hunting, however I'm not paying 10 fsp to safeguard the 8 fsp i lose when being attacked while hunting.
So IMO there are 3 options:
1. change the cloak buff
2. change the price of the pvp protection, either lower it in general or make the price level dependent.
3. new buff that protects my xp and/or gold for the duration of the buff. There already is one that protects gold from creature defeats and one that protects xp from creature defeats, there should also be buffs that do it from player defeats.
there is far more simple solution.. place the gold in MP in between in your hunts.. inflate them upto 190-195 k per fsp.. they will be grabbed in seconds.. only at most 1 fsp lost in cost.

Not in between hunts, rather during the hunt. It takes a few seconds between hitting 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,r but will save you gold. Gone are the days when you could hold millions on hand while leveling. There are also so many other ways to dump gold, gold hits should return to being allowed on anyone in your PvP band. This does not make sense. When i tried to play in arena i had an under 10 level set, i slipped it on and off with an upgrade. i would answer at least one question which indirectly related to set i'm wearing then push an ok (?) button. i then slipped out of set, almost impossible for some to know my set and in arena conflicts i could not see what other guy had.
