Possible suggestion for PVP

Hello all I have been doing something thinking as I read the posts and shouts about the pvp system.
I have an idea with pvp meaning player vs player why not make up an area for those players to go.Make the Player Adventure to the required realm within the pvp rage. E.I Battleground 50 be set aside for those players 50 to 100, they enter the realm looking for a fight? well other comes along and want to fight also. I believe thsi si better because player can just sit back and take whack at players or to players that are offline. Make it a fair fight. Set aside a realm where player to go that want to pvp with themselves instead of just sitting back guarding relics and attack players that arent into pvping.
I know it's a basic idea and could use some refining but it's a concept to work off of and wont be based on luck like the arena is now and those with all the best stuff always winning beleive it would be more fair

It's called Slaughterfest in SS2, and it failed horribly.

This would fail because someone wanting rating could hop in attack everyone quickly getting tons of rating and then leave forcing other players to wonder what the [removed] just happened and a huge upset

like I said it would need some refining like if you enter you are a target for say 12 hours or so so you couldnt just pop in smack a few around and leave

Actually the idea it self did not fail horribly. The implementation did. Boiled down to to much stam (energy) usage. And may the best scripter win. Idea it's self was actually pretty fun. But horribly unbalanced the same as it is here. He who hits first wins.

like I said it would need some refining like if you enter you are a target for say 12 hours or so so you couldnt just pop in smack a few around and leave

it wouldn't be 12 hours possible that every reset you are kicked out or have a preference to automatically rejoin???
still I don't like the idea, as grave said

Unfortunately, whether it's the idea or the execution that faltered, nothing would be different in FS...Same development team, same engine, same small group of players who will do anything they can get away with to win.

So, yea. Bad suggestion.
