I see that no matter what I wont win this arguement and 10-1 odds hoof nerfs xp lock for pvp protection as its more expensive and a better fsp sink as its not permanent. But hoof 1 question for you. What happens to all the fsp people spent on xp locks?

gone... just like when someone buys stamina to stomp etc...poof!


I;ve locked to se hunt a few times... dont care about the dots.. just liked taking crazy swings at a 900 se LOL



thats great for those that didnt bust their butt for the fsp. I'm sorry but nerfing it without compensation is wrong on HCS behalf if this is the case.

Hcs can change the game how they see fit lol. It's THEIR game... they listen...and fix it to accomodate the community. Like i said.. I've locked before to SE hunt etc... But seeing so many players abuse it to sit on the ladder.. I hope its gone.

BUT how many times do you guys really get hit off the BB everyday? how many of those take xp? how many take rating? now I can't count on my fingers and toes how many times per day I get hit 100 stam while playing the ladder. no thats 2 levels a day I'd lose if I werent XP locked. and thats off the BB. how many lvls would you guys lose? and chances are 95% of the hits on me happen in the 10 hrs I'm not on FS and after my buffs run out. so what chance do I have to protect other than be on 24 hrs a day?

I would greatly appreciate xp-lock to disappear once attacking within your ladder. If possible, I'd also like a way to remove xp-lock yourself, without or before attacking.

As it is, at the moment I am locked up, as I haven't leveled for ages, had habitually locked as I did every few weeks, and find I've lost numerous levels due to BB, (though they don't all show, with not having allocated LUP)

So now am under my lock, and thus incapable of hitting people on the ladder within my xp-range, due to the fact they would loose xp, and i won't when they hit back.

I think it's preferable to keep an xp-lock in the game, for those people who do get hit out of revenge over actions by others, it does not fully protect xp, and does not protect gold. Is way preferable to this PvP-protection, which hopefully gets adjusted in concordance with the Poll results.

It's my preference as a non-pvp player over the seriously overpriced protection.

When you play the ladder you assume the risks. Really, how many of those on your ladder are +/- 10 of you? If you don't want to lose your precious XP, don't play the ladder in the first place.

And trying to compare a pvp band with 30-40 pvp'rs with bands that have 5-6 is like apples and oranges. like I've said we'll never agree. I do agree xp loss should be the whole range of your ladder. but not that xp lock should be nerfed on the ladder.

How about making a bounty that takes 2x or 3x the rating? In the current PvP sytem, the majority of hitters are for rating. So how does losing XP hurt them?

I believe the current loophole for XP lock and hitting back is being used, because the above mentioned problem was never addressed.

Unless you take several levels from hitters, there is NO punishment for hitting others in the game. I think adding a second type of bounty would be interesting.

Also, why is there not XP loss in any combat situation (regular pvp), exclusing XP lock? I thought that was a change most agreed on, but i still don't see it.

So its ok that you can hit someone in your range and take XP but because you took the easy way out and locked your XP they cant take any back? Nice try but fail.

For OP: submit ticket. Its a clear case of manipulating the system.

Remove the current "pvpprotection" that has turned into marketplace manipulating tool.

The poll was clear on the subject !

The pvp protection against gold was nerfed by the gold theft rate back to 10 levels!

Leave the old XP protection as it was, it has is purposes.

Seems to be the best choice. +1

Removing the ability to Bounty a PvP Ladder attack is something I've been thinking about. If enough people want it, I don't see why not. It might be a relatively easy tweak, unlike the rest of the suggestions.

I have had my exp locked for a year. I don't have any problem getting even with anyone even of theirs is locked, but if others do I have no issue with removing exp locks from the game. The temporary part of it I don't like, so either remove it, or leave it as is.
If it is removed , or altered from it's original description, the fsp cost of the upgrade needs to be refunded.
Totally fine to remove it from game if it's having bad effect on pvp, and it's being manipulated.
I just haven't had any problem getting revenge myself.

I would rather you combined the two upgrades, a little like the player reset.

If only that were true Maehdros - they accomodate, for the most part, the ones that scream the loudest and longest. That is why the in-game poll was such a good idea because it opened up the topic to a MUCH wider audience.

Shame there's only been ONE use of it so far ...

I disagree that the "loudest and longest" are given in to by HCS. I believe they take into consideration player comments how they will tweak and upgrade the game. I'm willing to bet anything the devs don't read all comments though. They rely on players to police their own game. They always have their own ideas based on player dissatisfaction most of the time. The in-game poll was a great idea. Did they follow what players wanted? No! So we are still here arguing the merits of each side. Nothing new here.

I want to see ALL attacks take(or lose) xp, gold and rating!

If repealing the opt-out isn't an option, combine the Protect XP upgrade with the Opt-out upgrade. Make gold on hand always at risk.

Really, what is the problem with locking one's XP and then attempting to compete on the PvP Ladder? There are so many hits that don't even take exp anyway. I've been hit a few times lately and none of them took XP. Nor could I have taken XP away from those who attacked me. If someone wants to Lock Their XP and then attempt to compete on the ladder... it seems to me that those of you in the PvP community who despise such action would take swift steps to teach said player a lesson by bountying him or her and seeing that they lose as much xp as possible while on the bounty board. I really don't think you need to do anything with the XP lock, hoof. Unfortunately, it's just a knee jerk reaction to a particular situation. The person who locked their xp but has XP gain will still lose their regular xp gain through regular pvp. They just won't be able to go below that level. I don't see why it's that big a deal. They will still be at Risk from the bounty board.
