you could just say something simple like "I liked this one best" no reason to go off the wall. Your responses, ingram were uncouth - SA might not have had a reason beyond liking each piece but said something non vulgar/non questionable to give a 'reason' without it being just 'I liked this one' down the list of groups.

This. I'm not going to go into damn details about why I picked something. Some of us don't hang out here all day long and just want to pick what we like and then move on with our busy lives. Now I have to explain myself down the line which is a waste of my time.

Oh, we're so sorry to ask for more than 5 seconds considering most of us spent hours on these pieces.

Then why vote in the first place? You seem to have no respect for the works that you are voting on. It seems to me that you should just go bugger off!

I only spent about 50 minutes on mine ... :D

I spent 3 and a half hours on my round 2 entry though, finding stocks and making the damn thing. Stocks were the easy bit .. :D

I don't want to possibly damage your infallible logic but that doesn't make any sense because I actually "voted" (for the graphics I liked the best thus helping move said artists forward) instead of skipping the topic altogether but okay.

 I believe if you read the other posts you would have realised it was an extention on the comments the artist had made. I didn't realise I needed to explain that. I suppose I should have realised by now that not everyone on here is intelligent.

You can't even spell properly, so don't try to insult my intelligence. Besides, the OP doesn't say anything about "an 'extention' on the comments the artist had made."

Welcome to the voting thread for the first round of the Grand Graphics Tournament!

How do you cast your votes?
* Vote for 1 graphic per group.
* Give a short reason about why you vote for this particular one.
* Vote for one for ALL groups, otherwise your votes won't be counted.

What should your votes look like?
Group 1: A - Short reason
Group 2: C - Short reason
... ... ...
Group 8: B - Short reason

Oh, I am sorry extension... At least I have reading comprehension.

Edit: I am not going to continue this conversation with you on here. Feel free to PM me If you need to respond.

1 A - I like the joyful colours
2 B - She looks sweet and the colours fit her emotions
3 A - It shows the rage
4 A - You can really feel the mixed emotions on her face
5 A - Sweeet :)
6 C - I'm an elf, so I'm a sucker for forest and beautiful ladies :P
7 A - The effects here are nice
8 A - Wow. Puppy eyes... :D

Just wanted to note that the vote for group 3 is suspect... I sent an in-game msg with no response or change to the post. I would assume that the voter was referring either to 2A or 3B, but not 3A. 3A shows "pride" in the artists eye as stated by their text, where 2A and 3B show "rage."

If I win an auction, please notify me in-game

I dunno - if they didn't read the text to guide them to the concept that was intended then rage might be an appropriate interpretation on that one. It still evoked the idea of an emotion, just not the one the artist had intended as evidenced by their text choice. While we might overlook the basic psychology of color, those who aren't actively involved in graphics may just respond to that part by instinct. If you took the text out of the picture, or replaced it with 'calculated rage' you could easily have a match by employing the aspects of color psychology.

1 A I like the colour of her eyes and the way they stand out.
2 B I like the way the woman is holding her hand together like she really is in love.
3 A The others just seemed too forced, this one flows better.
4 A Love the tear dropping from the eye and the fact the house in the background is slightly fuzzy.
5 A I like the fact this is two girls not afraid to show their feelings. The other two just didn’t bring me to emotions, nice as they are.
6 C This is just beautiful though looking closer the blending, I believe it’s called could have been done a tad better.
7 A I like the effect used to make the ghost in this, it brought me to tears at the sense of loss.
8 A That puppy just looks so sad, it outshines the other pictures.

There, fed up of the in game messages, so now that at least should count.
