Not sure how this would work, but . . .

1) An 'Instant Buy' feature like this would place gold in the hands of the seller and take stamina from them without their control.
- When would it be turned off?
- What if they are on the Bounty Board at the time etc.
- They would not have control over their Stamina drain and 'Gold on Hand'.

2) If this were to be implemented it would have to be done like a 'Shout Box' situation, where the seller would pay to have their name listed for like an Hour, and only their name would show up.
- This would help them control When their stamina was used etc.

3) Could we also petition for HCS to allow this feature (if implemented) to deposit the sellers Gold DIRECTLY to the Sellers BANK?!

EXAMPLE:
Active Buffers
Thoran [ ? ] STN, SW, DFT
Anemie [ ? ] AL, DBL, AM
marinzeus [ ? ] DC, DBL, KE

(Click on players name to See/Buy buffs. This list will last an hour. Stamina will be taken from Seller without their interaction)

Could you please explain the idea a little more thoroughly, so I know exactly what you're proposing? Thanks.

The way I see it, its like the Marketplace: you make a listing, including the buffs you want, and the price you will pay, and then a buffer confirms the listing, automatically loses the stamina for the buffs and gets the gold offered, while the offerer receives the buffs.
But its gonna take a while to make it bug-free.

This is how I imagine it should work too. Its best to place the buffs you want instead of the buffs you are selling. Its much easier to control. It would work exactly like the Marketplace, where you click sell fsp, and the gold is transfered to you and the fsp sent to the other person, except it would be buffs :D

LOL.
And the only problem I see is minor. Its about when you dont know which buffs to get, and you buy them spontaneously, like "O hey, I might need AM", then later "Might get Doubler as well", but that's gonna be the lister's fault, not a problem with the idea.

 You know how in FsHelper there is a section that says Find Buffs, why not add a section that says buy buffs. This would be a section where the people who want buffs go and list the buffs they want and the price they are willing to pay, and the people selling the buffs go and click on the buffs they are willing to sell at that price. You could even make it confidential like the Marketplace and charge gold for each player or buff listed. Its a gold sink and stamina sink for those willing to buff fast, gold gain or fsp gain for those players. And quick and easy saving time for when you are hunting and don't have time to look for buffs. It benefits everyone, at least I think it does. Not sure how easy or hard it is to implement though, lol.

In my whole mind, this would be an image.

Buff Market

[Create Buff Request] [Search Buffs]
[Preference Set]

[Offense Buffs] [Defense Buffs] [Special Buffs]
[Individual Buffs] [All] [Buff Packs]
______________________________________________________________

| Total Buffs Available | Per Gold and FSP |Stamina Available|Expires Time|
x x x x
[Buy]

______________________________________________________________

Demonstration
I create a buff, then select how much for each buffs or buff packs cost.
Let say 2fsp per buff pack. Then, the computer will calculate how much stam it will take to send the request. The request fee will determine the price. In this order:
1) Click Buff Request
2) Click Buffs check box (those small check box [ ])
3) Stam is calculated and you can't go over your current stamina.
4) Type in price
5) Request fee determines it
6) Caution page, confirm, done.

The [Stamina Available] indicate how much you can buy it till the stamina runs out.
In my opinion, the Max should be 1,500 Stam, just to give other buffers some profits.

If you confirm it, and decided to cancel it, no stam is given back.

... yeah, this is wat your saying?

I like the way you are thinking, its a bit complex. I was not thinking it to be that detailed. iwas thinking more like:

Buff Market
[Create Buff Request]
then you specify your buffs and the price you are willing to pay. Then maybe a [Save Preference]
and then its placed for Buffers to buff in a page that looks something like this:
[Offense Buffs] [Defense Buffs] [Special Buffs]
and then you click on the offensive buffs and it takes you here:
[b][Rage] [Stun] [Fury]
and then when you click on those it specifies the buffs and what they are willing to pay:

Rage 1fsp
Rage 100,000 gold
Rage 50,000 gold
.
.
.
Rage 10,000 gold
or maybe just putting all offensive buffs in one section. I just thought that this way the buffers could go to one specific buff they want to buff and click on as many requests. Because not everyone has all the offensive buffs or Defensive Buffs. You can click on what you do have to buff.

That is why i would like the players who want the buffs to list it instead of the buffers. That way the Buffers would receive the money when they decide to sell. No need to send the Gold directly to the Bank. and they choose how many buffs to activate, so they have control of there Stamina. Also the Buff Master and Extend Buffs would come into more usage.

I forgot to mention that when Creating Buff Request you could also specify minimum level required, that way you get the level you want or are willing to pay for.

You would check which ones you wanted, the Pop Up list would show what Buffs are offered.

I like the idea, and yes, it would virtually eliminate buff thieves. Now the one question that I have is this:

Would everyone who sells buffs have to do it this way or can those who prefer not to use this method continue to do it the old way? Some of us tend to make alliances with some of our buffers and tend to be protective of them if we see them on the bb. Your method would be sterile, and offer very little aliances.

I agree with you on that. We all tend to like some of our Buffers and always like to buy from them instead of others. That does not have to change. Those players will still continue to buff if they want, and you can buy from them directly instead of giving your gold to others you don't even know. But I am pretty sure that is how some people did it before the improvements on the Marketplace. People would send secure trades to others for gold and fsps and I am sure they made friends too, its just that when something becomes easier things tend to change. But the friendship does not have to get lost.

Just a quick FYI, this cannot be implemented by the helper as the helper is all client side. It does not connect to a server to store any data for other players to see. We would have no way to store the list of buffs you want to sell so other players could see it.

It would have to be implemented by HCS.

There have been other posts in the past that have suggested this idea. I like the idea myself, it just has to be implemented carefully.

There are important things that people look for in a buffer - sustain level, extend, guild, etc.

All fine and dandy besides the fact they will have to remove the buffs and add them again everytime they do not want to sell buffs. Unless they add like a "Save Buffs" button or Close/Open Buff Shop

Agreed a great idea  I think find buffs is useless as it just goes of player bios even if it says they are not selling them, this idea should only work for players who want to sell there buffs i hope they enble this. :D

I like it...HOWEVER. . if i never had to go looking for buffs i would not have met half the cool people i have while searching for buffs  it would eliminate some player player interaction that may hurt the game...

on the other hand it would be extremely convenient when trying to hunt in a hurry,..

I voted "I like the idea" and think it would be good but i'm nervus as to how it would effect the game like others have mentioned, it could take away the roleplay aspect of the game (have seen this happen to another online rpg years ago) and it killed the fun for bartering and talking with fellow adventurers. Of course you could carry on the old way but we all tend to go for ease in the end. To be honest i'm 50/50 on this one at the moment.

This idea was mentioned a longtime ago if I recall correctly and nothing came of it back then.

I agree whith the meeting people bit, that's where I got to know a lot of my allies who are now far more then allies. I have also a problem with the speed we would get buffs, when I have time to hunt I need to know if I get everything at roughly the same time, some buffs from this player and some from that player. I also very often put extend on the players I want to buy buffs from.

So it would be good to find a way of a direct provision of ALL buffs requested
It would be good to know if extend was put on by the seller
It would also be fantastic if the seller could put on a max amount of stam he/she wants to put on the board

Definitelly yes to this idea..
There is a buff market already, and it is working through peoples bios or the front page..
Its about time it finds an official place to happen with rules and efficiency.
As someone said it will save countless hours of searching for the right buff when you need it and I will say make the game more enjoyable..
