It seems odd to me that HCS have responded to a post in the forum about FI being broken when they did not respond to tickets being sent to them almost 2 years ago. If the game admins where happy to let FI run the way it was for that length of time because they coded it incorrectly then surely they have to continue it? I personally do not mind but feel that a lot of players will be greatly annoyed by this

It doesn't need to be changed on the skills page - that's how it works now - it was bugged *before* this update.

Before it was acting as if the 0.1% per point was actually 1% per point :)

I have just recently gotten into caving. I caved last week, and decided to take down some numbers(because of bp space, or lack there of). I cave the right cave, with fi1050, rf210(or whatever it is after distil), and reckoning. I use brewmaster and distil to up the potions, then cancel before caving. I go with 20k, and 100 times a pop. So 2,000,000 gold per "run". I will not distinguish between good drops and bad drops(since it has a good bit to do with luck), but just with drops. my last 9 runs(of 100) brought me these item drops: 46,47,47,47,52,53,45,50,47. So if these numbers are now 4,4,4,4,5,5,4,5,4, i am done with the caves. Even if i had gotten 100 drops a run, and none were good, they are still drops with the chance of being something good.

Caving was my first jump into a different aspect of the game. I do not pvp, gvg, arena, or merchant. I picked caving because there was an element of chance, and the risk to reward thing. I guess I can now go back to just leveling.

No point in donating now, don't need to scavenge anymore tbh with these Find Item rates. I'll kill 30m gold, and see what happens though..

My question to you is: did you expect to get 50 drops per run? If you did, then you misunderstood how the skill was intended to work. If you didn't then you must have been pleasantly surprised (and maybe wonder what had happened).

Reckoning doesn't appear to work in the caves, which is another bug that needs confirming - so that wouldn't alter anything. Resource finder would work exactly the same now.

I did not expect to get 50 drops a run, and I was pleasantly surprised. Even more surprised at the amount of good drops, which i should have saved till this day and been extremely rich. I wasn't saying it was good or bad, I was merely posting my experience from last week to the numbers hades is stating now. If that 50 drops goes down to 20-25(like hades is talking about), I am still done with caving. It took 50 drops a run for me to make a decent profit. You cut the chance of good drops in half, and I have no prayer of making a profit. Unless the 3 ew1500 potions i would now get in those 9 runs sold for 70-75 fsp a piece. Of course that might happen as well.

You could just go online, post some random spam comment, and log out.

What A Disgrace!!! 900Fsps Burned In The Caves and got 40 Crappy Drops!!! Have You Reduced FI1000 By 90%!!!! ???? Have You Seen The SE Logs??? Geeeez What A Way For You Guys To Make Money....

It's good that HCS want to fix things, but I wish some thought had gone into this, clearly no thought was given to the effects it would have on various parts of the game. This is even worse than the elemental weapon fiasco (and that was pretty bad, especially for people who lost a lot of fsp due to the changes to the quests).

killed about 600 clock spine things and got ONE drop!!!

had FI 1000 on just FYI

Just sunk 30 fsp in the caves to get 10 worthless drops (iron shield, ring of health) and huray 1 reborn dragon shield. I doubt I will be scavenging again soon though. Not after getting a huge profit, I am happy if I break even, or a slight loss, but this is just throwing away 30 fsp.

Well that's just fascinating. Numbers aside, can you honestly say the drop rates now are fair and reasonable?
