VERY BAD for a game.A lot of small guilds here try to survive, because of GVG, from points they buy new gear for guild. Our guild is one of this type guilds, we GVGing both for rate, but and for RP points and leveling at the same time! If this new update stay very soon you will KILL GVG. ONLY a rich guild can pay 4000000 gold for 1 confict


Sorry, but guilds do not NEED GvG to survive, or even to do well.

First I'd like to thank the cows for at least addressing this issue..its about time.can't tell you how many tickets i've sent in concerning this. anyways, here's my 2 cents worth

the biggest problem with gvg are these 4 and 6 man guilds who are hitting the large guilds for rp(rp farming). if they find 5 players in their target range they complete a gvg in 20 minutes. where as my guild who only has a single target in that 4 man opposing guild now has to make 50 hits against that 1 player .at 2 minutes per hit that is 100 min..over and hour and a half to complete a gvg. what prevents 4 high level players from forming a guild leveling up past level 30 and farming big guilds? ..wouldn't it be wiser to set a minimum on the number of players in guild before a guild can participate in gvg..or only allow guild to compete against other guilds in their level range or number of players in the guild..IE. guild with 15 or few players...16 to 25...26 to 50 ..so on and so forth...we don't need to make this game more expensive to play just a bit more fair....lets level the playing field is all i ask

there is a minimum number of guild members before you can participate in a conflict. the cows implemented that with the last major gvg "fix".

ODP is what i would call a medium size guild and since we implemented a min level to join of 100 about mid last year the farming stopped altogether. food for thought

AM NOT Likin' The New Updates AT ALL

Rasin' the Prices for only a 20 Pt Difference and Makin' it longer than 3 days to attack the same guild again. That is Insane.... Again I Am NOT Happy With these new Updates.....


Since when has someone been able to initiate on the same guild within 3 days w/o switching guilds?

what now will prevent a guild with a higher rating from having a friends guild with a terrible rating gvg attack them to lose a lot of ratings points quickly




haha... what indeed... farming would change, but it would still be here...

I actually think the RP items were well priced.. they were more affordable for those who couldn't donate hundreds of dollars for 1 epic item. For the most expensive to make item, would I be willing to pay 2-3k FSP for it.. no..

I would like to put in a few words real quick.

I have been playing this game for over 1 year, and over 1 year GvGing. This is my style of playing the game. I have found my niche, like many have in this game.

I am fine with the new update if, and this is a big if, you keep the gold amount at 50k gold to initiate.

Waiting up to 7 days is fine, but not really over for hitting the same guilds. 8-9 is a bit excessive.

Level 25+ Guild to start and/or participate in GvGing is fine too.

Paying 2.1 million gold to start a conflict with a fairly active guild is NOT good.

If the gold cost can stay the same as before, being 50k gold, then I would gladly accept this new update.

I know many guilds enjoy the RP packs from their RP, and won't be able to earn anymore if the cost stays as it is currently.

One or two have said make it to where only level 50+ players can participate is not very good either. I think if you can participate in the PvP Ladder, then you should be able to GvG. So starting at level 25 and higher.

Please I beg of HCS to see reason, and keep the gold amount set at 50k.

If you cause the gold amount to skyrocket like it is at the moment, then I will not be able to play this very enjoyable game anymore. Please be generous to everyone, and to all GvGers.

well put snapfire i agree with most of what you ve said gvg is my niche in game also got all my gear for it not to mention all the time spent learning my trade to become good at it and searching for guilds to attack,it is the part of the game i like best too i may have to consider quitting the game if this is the future of gvg

as to the awarding different rp based on best or current rating differences. very very bad idea. the abuse it will take will be enormous.

As in many other posts I think that the lower limit ought to be raised to 50 or 100. That would help the lower level guilds and also cut down on the multi character players. Some of these new GVG players know more when they start than I do after 2 years. Seems suspicious.

I think the gold cost is too high though I am not opposed to a sliding scale based on rating.

I think there is another thing that you should add.. if a guild defends and forces a draw against the guild that initiated the conflict then I think they should get the 10 RP points.. it would make it more of a contest..


This is one of the worst ideas I have ever heard. If you want a reward, force the attacking guild to LOSE ONE.... and then go perfect against them.

Winning = Winning

Drawing DOES NOT = Winning

(It equals artwork :P)

I'm one of those flexible characters that tries out everything and am quite fond of GvGing to help my guild. And I've quite liked several opinions that several players have voiced throughout this thread.

* Having the minimum player level to 100 to help players acquire gold to repair their equipment.
Have the guild minimum level to 250 to further encourage the leveling element to the fs community.

* For every 50 GvG points in difference raise the initiation cost by 50k gold instead of a whopping 1 million to have that element of a gold sink.

* A defending guild drawing a conflict (50/50) possibly obtaining 2-3 RP, (not being affected by GvG points or causing a difference of GvG points)

* Maybe a possible bonus based on a guilds Rating whether it be mid-weekly or weekly above 1000, where the higher the rating the higher the possible bonus.

* And looking forward to the top 25 GvG guild special shop. :wink:

wow.

i cant see how this will "add" to the game, rather, lets face it, kill another aspect of it

the only (possible) good thing is excluding the lowbies, though why would newbies stick around, with no concept of making any fsp apart from buying it.... for an oldschool, out of date game there are better options as i have discovered

as i've always felt, you are all out of touch with the game, not playing it does you no favors, and pandering to the whiners and whingers all the time, emphasises this.

it may just be me rambling but the pvp needs to be fair. of course a level 400+ is going to beat a level 25 if each is using the same exact items. the pvp arenas should be based on virtual level or actual level. therefore it is a lot fairer and give the lower non wallet warriors a chance.
