We had a couple of people all hitting Fushi and eventually got the pieces for a guildie. Might take some teamwork and lots of patience, but it's not impossible.

did you even read the thread ??? i am not even close to the killing of fushi ?? i am in the middle of the quest..trying to get the swords to make the sword to kill fushi ..why do people reply without even fully reading what it going on

Because it's the internet and their opinion is all that matters.

ok..so now they say the coders are working on the drop rates.....hoooray....they need to work on it today..tomorrow, next day until it is finished...imho this drop rate thing needs to be fixed long before anything else is done with the game...this is affecting every player in the game..every minute of the game..please fix quickly...

So the droprate "issue" that affects a handful of quests needs to be worked on before the new map system (which they are working on), new skills and other improvements? Ehrm, no, not at all actually.

the drop issue is not just affecting a handful of quests..it is affecting many other parts of the game, not just the quests..the fs economy for one....have you read all the other threads on the drop rate subject..it is affecting many players in the game..so yes i think it should be fixed before anything new comes in..and why cant they fix the drop rate, skills, new mapping system and other improvements at the same time..is there only 1 person working on this game ? if so hire the dude a helper..p.s here is drop rate for this common creature - Frozen Ancestor: 0.3% ..means with fi1000 on .6% chance...fi800 on .54% chance....not even a 1% chance of getting a drop from a common creature with the most powerful fi's in the game., this is not a champion or elite....and has 5 drops...nice odds of getting the 1 drop a person needs..

There are some normal drops in the long 940-1000 Karthak Quests, at least one recipe is dropped in Karthak as a normal item, if i remember rightly, somewhere in the 960's.

There are more then one then.

the recipe for making the kutuubu spear (lvl 947 questchain) requires a normal drop as well.

Took me 800 kills with fi 1000 to get the drop

It had more to do with me mis-speaking. They weren't hitting "Fushi", they were hitting the elite that was to drop the katana.

Nothing I said was incorrect other than the name of the creature.

It's amazing others were able to get the drops.

I completed it after the drop rate was changed.

It just takes patience and perserverance.
