What happened to the reduction in rating transfer outside the +-10 range that was in place?


The PvP Rating transferred is reduced based on the level difference.

From looking at the numbers kj posted it's not.

Methinks there are going to be a lot of people not happy with xp loss throughout the band...


Just means us levelers need to wear an offline set. Then you can hope people wont hit you. + just dont hold much gold... most wont go at you if u dont hold much gold


There's no way to stop someone beating you while offline and unbuffed :P

PvP Ladder Fixes

XP loss and gold theft is now applied anywhere within a PvP Band. Gold stolen, xp loss and PvP Rating transfers will be reduced based on the level difference (whether higher or lower).

PvP Rating is now no longer transferred unless the target player has been active within the last 48 hours.

Players under level 25 can no longer attack or be attacked by other players (Excludes Bounties and Guild Conflicts).



So basically the more active you are, the more your gonna get hit?

This is actually a solution to a huge problem of people being targeted within a +-10 range, Now hitting outside of your +-10 can be worth it so the target base is larger. Additionally this will stomp out all those wannabe PvPers who are afraid of XP loss which is a huge plus!


Yeah the target base is larger, but it also means a lot more people can hit you and take XP from you

And they can be bountied,deleveled or hit back.. or simply do nothing ;)



A hit out of range takes less then 1% - 10% xp...a bounty clear takes at least 20%of a level.

Your very true there... And thats a dissapointment... LOL. Some people dont realize we work hard for that xp..

I could care less about xp loss, but for the people in the lower ranges, they are sure to be losing a lot of xp daily if a 50 level range can take xp from you, and to a leveller, you ain't gonna like that :P

Thanks hoof. As andy has said though - the SE rates were fine, people were starting to get back into SE hunting. Would you mind telling us how much the drop rate was raised by though? If it isn't too high, then all hope isn't lost.

Good to see that you also raised drops on common and rare items, now I'll finally get items from my hunt. I hope the rates aren't unreasonably high though, only time will tell (and maybe the UFSG. Speaking of which, its due for an update ;))

Finally, a fair ladder. I love it - I think PvPers and Levelers alike will like this. Great :D As mae said though, can the ladder times be truly random?

Look at it like this, If I had 25 targets before the change I was forced to select from those 25 if I wanted any kind of rating. With this change I now have 125 targets (25 per +-10*5 segments of a bracket) The chances of one person being targeted repeatedly are much smaller. I also believe that you will be targeted less as there are now a greater number to choose from for all. Now just remember not to hold a bunch of gold and you make yourself even less of a target.

please improve regular creatures as well ... you shouldn't be able to level through an entire level without getting a single "common" drop

was the protection enhancement maxed? An i think it is based on a % of the players level. So it wont be the same #'s all the time. between 1% ( 10 stam) - 10% ( for a 100 stam)..then the modifier.

i did forget to check that. just checked it out. mine was 100% his was at 65%

Any chance of NO rating reset for those not involed in the ladder?
I fail to see how opening the xp loss band solves anything

to start mine was at 1080 and his was 1000 after round one he would have been higher than me with mine at 1030 and his at 1050 so the change of 12 looks unbalanced a little to me.. unless i am considering it wrong

And it renders 100 stams on the bounty board useless. As a result, while the update improves non bounty board pvp, it kills pvp on the bounty board.
