and I, the poor smuck who might invent 2 or 3 times a year at best, how in Gods name am I supposed to know how this is done before loosing my items, and if thats the cost of learning, why should it be that way??Can you show me something by the cow which fully outlines all the oddities with inventing??If so, please forward that link to me in game. If no such all encompassing outline exists, then this is something that needs corrected. It should not be something you have to acquire over time like a passenger forced to fly by the seat of their pants if the pilot passed out.
*hug* Many things in this game are learned via trial and error..and not spelled out for us.It happens. People learn from it,and it doesnt happen again. ( most people learn from it anyways)
Here again I have to point out, if this were some beta version of a game I could see that, but it's not. players have been inventing since the game began and if this was a known as everyone seems to be stating, then why on earth haven't they addressed it in game instead of leaving it to the player to discover at their own expense??I can't see how anyone could feel this type of thing is justifiable

Items of the same level are listed in the order they were added to your BP. There should be no surprise that the first one in your backpack is the first to be used. Honestly, this is the most obvious way that it should work.

if the backpack item order matters then people should be able to easily control the order so they culd manage their inventions. Setting costly traps is bad design for a game like this.

My first thoughts as a naive player about 'non repairable' items were that they would never need repairing ever!
So seemed to me that by that very definition ie 'non repairable', they would be everlasting.
Seemed logical at the time ^^
