Why not just sit back and let it be for a while? Take care of your to do list right now, fix a coding issue if it comes up, rotate some items through the arena, release some nice content every couple of weeks, release some critters in the caves, etc...but why do we need a major update so often??? If you actually took a step back and concentrated on the little things instead of all these huge updates I think there might still be a chance to save FS...maybe...

Can we please just let the game live and breath for a while HCS? This used to be a great game that we all loved to play (and more importantly for you, donate to) when there were not updates every few days...most of which seem to make the game worse. You added some content, released some critters in the caves, or even had a nice LE. The game has become so diluted with items and potions that it seems to be choking on all the excess. What else does everyone really need?!?!

I could not agree more. The harder they seem to try the worse the game becomes. I have lost countless friends over my time here, and soon I expect I too will join them in leaving. It's sad really, something I once genuinely enjoyed doing now has become more of a task then a pleasure. I understand they intend to improve things with what they do, but as reality reflects it to be, based on the dwindling number of players in the game, perhaps they need to take a break and let the game be instead of fixing things that aren't in need of it.

What they should do, imo, is spend all their time on fixing bugs and on new upper level content.

ABSOLUTELY 100% in agreement - and, this could be a bonus for the runt of the litter too (SigmaStorm 2) which is CRYING OUT for coder time, but doesn't get any . Pretty much all BG can do there is keep repeating "I'm waiting for coder time" - we have so many ideas and fixes for that game, but new stuff keeps getting done here when sometimes un-necessary (other than for cosmetic purposes - I'm NOT including the new map system in that btw - i think that will be excellent).
The runt of the litter needs some TLC from it's momma, before it passes away in its sleep.
So, folk are commenting here about too much development and commenting there about ZERO development - that's an EASY problem to fix - send Hoof to SS2 for a couple of months and get that game into the ER room and resuscitated

Player complained about the lag with LE events, they still complain now with nothing going on. bring them back already.

They should iron out all the 'small bugs' first ie chat parsing errors [edit]done, ty
update the official guide, lil things like that.
They've certainly done great things with the big updates recently, love the bazaar addition and the new pvp changes.
Time to 'house tidy' a little then sit back a while methinks.

no offense hoof but ur like a bad D.I.Y er as you start stuff then leave it as if you got bored ie the ultimate guide hasnt lived up to its name since it was introuduced shame crace one fell by the wayside as that helped many of us noobs along ..
there is lots bugs around too little things like the annoying "n" at the end of every message ..same with the inventing section when you try say click page 20 if you have 25 pages ur bounced to the home screen its really annoying ..the list is a mile long no doubt ppl will list them be nice for whats broke to be fixed

this should even make a few EOCers happy as it would be something for them to waste there stamina on.
this isnt a long term fix but short term I think it would help

My Ticket JWT-861257 (in the dev queue) has many bugs listed over different threads, which would tidy up a lot of loose ends. Our intention is always to improve the game with the updates.
What would you most like to see improved?
such things as:
- text parsing (the letter n appearing in messages, and the \ also appearing in chat)
- imagepack downloads not working
- buffs not working right (shield strike, spell leech)
and a few others too.

What would you most like to see improved?
bugs bugs bugs. It took years to find the FI bug, and that was only with player intervention. There have been similar instances in the past.

1. Add content NOW, not Friday as you walk out the door (if we even get it then). Six weeks no matter what the reason is too long and there is absolutely no reason for it. And realistically it should be more than the normal 10 levels since it has been so long. After that add content at least every two weeks. Our intention is always to improve the game with the updates.
What would you most like to see improved?
2. Finish whatever needs finishing with your new map. I understand this is your baby and it sounds like it will be a good thing for the game, but the rest of the game can not come to a stand still during it's creation.
3. Update the image packs, Ultimate FS Guide, etc. You know...all the stuff that we have been told would be done multiple times.
4. Leave PvP alone!! Good or bad, every change you make never has a chance since another change is made a week later. Take a couple of months off and see where it is at. If it needs tweaked after that, then by all means have at it.
5. Fix all the coding bugs that have been reported in tickets and here on the forum. Take it one at a time and work your way through all of them. No big changes, just fix what is already there.
6. Rotate the items in the Arena and fix what should be a good gold sink. This should be done on a regular basis without us saying a word and can't be that hard of a thing to do.
7. After the new map is up and running have an old school LE to kick the tires a little and see how it goes.
8. Release critters in the caves on a regular basis. With the new FI%'s the market should not get flooded and it would be a great gold sink once again.
9. LEAVE THE GAME ALONE!! This should leave plenty of time for content, image packs, Ultimate FS Guide, bug fixing, and LE's. The arena and caves shouldn't take much time as everything needed is already in the game.
All that we need for this to be a great game again is already there. There just needs to be an effort by HCS to stand behind and follow up on the changes and implementations that they have already made. I am sure I missed some little things in my list, but you get the general idea. We don't need any more high level pots, we don't need any more sets, just sit back and let the game heal itself. With the new FI%'s the AH should slowly fix itself. With the gold sinks listed above, the marketplace will slowly fix itself.
And for HCS...As the game heals itself current players will start to care again, new players will find it more enjoyable, and just maybe those that have left us will find their way back to bask in the greatness that once was Fallen Sword...which will mean more donations, because we all understand that money is and always will be the bottom line.

does any1 really care if something looks slightly better, or if there arent page loads between movement screens?
Why not make small tweeks here and there to keep the game moving ie: add a new set to arena every once in awhile instead of a half dozen all at once... rotate items in and out sometimes (icons of styx are 1/3 the price they used to be and has never been out of arena, while other new sets have already been removed - let the player base catch up to level 850)

agree 100%.
Would love to play FS-2009:-)
Keep it simple- for every update you make- the game becomes more and more strange.

People want to dominate titans ,dominate the arena, dominate pvp all these things come at a cost to other players,, how many of you would give up a titan kill to see more people playing the game or first place on your pvp ladder or an icon in the arena ?
Player greed is killing this game Hoof and his team are doing a great job people here need to remember they are not here to pander to your petty self interests .
