here is an idea...crazy as it sounds hear it out.

Add new potions as pvp rewards. there should be potions that are useful for pvp and potions that are useful for leveling. These potions should be bound to the ladder ranges. Each range has better potions. This way if you want a better potion you have to level up and play that ladder instead of sitting in 1 ladder range for months and months. Levelers will want to participate to get the leveling potions....pvp'rs will participate for the new potions as well as the new competition. This would breath a bit of life back into the pvp ladders without offering any new over powered gear to be over priced and profited from.



I like this idea, maybe as a extra bonus for 1st place in the ladder in addition to the tokens, but strictly bound and not too overpowered?

So players should be punished for being in the same guild? Why should one person be punished while another is not. There is nothing stopping you from joining other than the fact that you are afraid that you may have to actually put some effort in to it.


I'm not afraid. I just don't see any entertainment out of defending myself from 8 people while they only have to defend themselves from 1 player outside their guild. When your in the ladder, you shouldn't have to worry about guild mutilation.. It should clearly be PLAYER Vs. PLAYER.
They should have to defense themselves from the 8 players, just like I would have too...

Do you not see the advantage they have..?
Looking at the current level 800-899 Ladder band, there are 8 players. 7 in one guild.
The only player that is not in the same guild as the rest is at a -254 rating and 1day 7hour away with 2 levels lost.

Rating only transferred on 100 stams and allow guild mates to hit each other ;)

Oh the inguild drama at "What the hell man, you 100 stammed me!" messages that would fly around :P


I still think there should be a cap to how many players from 1 guild can join a ladder.

Idk, this is just coming from a player that isn't in a PvP guild.. And I also shouldn't be forced to join a PvP guild to get entertainment out of the ladder.

And TED is a PvP guild? When did this rumor start and who should I thank for it. I have NEVER heard us mentioned as anything but a leveling guild, even though we don't have any "Power Levelers" on board.

And I have a cap for you. Come join the Ladder and let me put it in your @$$. :evil:

I like that idea...it promotes fighting for first rather than just sitting in 2-5th and coasting for easy tokens. I think the potions should be SLIGHTLY just slightly over powered...or on par with other recently added potions. nothing outrageous....but make them worth fighting for...

This would breathe life back into the ladders i believe

I have want to try pvp but its useless.
Livingsin: I love the idea and it probably would work
Scrogger: I know what your saying but i dont want there to be a reward for 1st but a bonus cause it will end up like titan hunting.

The issue is not nearly as complicated as it looks. Fact - They said they would never make PvP Protection. Then They Did. My only concern is that it should not be called PvP protection if that is not what it does. They made an adjustment to PvP Protection which allows someone to still be hit. Therefor, it Cannot be called PvP Protection Unless That is Exactly what it does.

I apologize that i do not get on here often enough to make this a meaningful conversation, and i do understand everyone's point of view.

I am just speaking from a logical sense here, that's all.

have you ever used pvp protection? let me put this in simpler terms...

IF you hold less than 10,000 gold PER LEVEL(for you 4.18 million gold) then you can NOT...repeat CAN NOT be hit. Once you go over that then you become a viable target yet again. So then. Want pvp protection? stay under that level and nobody can touch you.


This update(old news now) was to fix a bug that allowed someone to hold 44,444 gold per level vs the 10,000 per level the description stated. there for the protection was "bugged" and needed fixing.
