Okay, I have been playing this game for close to 4 years. When I started, the stam/level was not high. In fact, it was pretty low. As I progressed through the game, the stam that was needed per level increased slightly, no big deal because it was still low. Fast forward about 600 levels and you get to stam/level about a year ago. There is something wrong with the xp formula, so HCS decides to band aid the situation and allot 40k stam. Yes folks, 40k stam although all of the players at that level used well over 500k stam to get where we are.

So now, fast forward to now. I just hunted using a 10% damage relic (capped damage percent), the best hunting gear (over 28k damage), Doubler 1260, Lib 237, AL 175 and all the necessary buffs. With 41,000 stamina, I managed to make 8 levels (5,000 stamina a level while getting on average 170,000 xp/critter kill). You know what this means right? It has gotten so f'in bad, that if I wanted to "buy" my levels using the 1% upgrade for 2 fsp...it's actually CHEAPER to buy levels so you don't even need to hunt. I'll put it simpler for all of you.

400 FSP spent solely on stam gets you 10k stam. So, simple math shows that 200 FSP gets you 5k stam. With the 1% upgrade, it would cost 200 FSP to make a level. If you don't see where I am going with this...Basically HCS has neglected to change the XP formula for ages now even after numerous posts have been up. If this does not demoralize EoC people or even people who aren't at EoC yet, then I don't know what will

HCS, this needs to be fixed immediately or you are going to have a lot of pissed off gamers who have no reason to donate anymore. I've already stopped, and I know about 15 others whom have stopped donating in the past couple months. The fix I am talking about needs to be a permanent fix, not one of your f'in band aids that just blowup in the end.

TL;DR It is cheaper now at EoC to spend 200 FSP on the 1% xp upgrade to gain 1 level then it is to actually hunt because it takes at least 5,000 stam/level with all the normal buffs

Mistle also goes into the issue in more depth in this thread http://forum.fallens...hp?f=1&t=103045

i been trying to lvl for weeks but with the constant lag and the complete cock up on recent added content ie the fixing of the critters so they was more of a challenge not more of a stamina drain i gave up and havent been able to motivate myself to try.. the nitemares of it costing 5k stam for a lvl is enough to stop alot ppl leveling when it becomes cheaper to buy a lvl then to hunt through it ..at that point you know ur game is done with. if throwing money at it is cheaper then you will move on to a more challenging game..many already have i know hoof said he would address this at next content update but many will feel they will believe this when they actually see it way way way way too many things have been said in the past that are yet still to be done years after they was promised

Basically it would be cheaper to sit in stam gear.. selling 900, and 1000 buffs,an buy levels 1% at a time as you sell buffs. Now WHY in the heck would someone( me for example) wanna save up and try for EOC,to do this? LOL. HCS you need to fix something.. seriously.. I know you dont want players burning through content... but this is kinda crazy O_o.

You need to keep players around... not drive them away. You want people to spend money... not hide their wallets...

Yea i guess HC's misunderstood when players said leveling not challenging ...
then just increased the stamina usage Nothing fun with that change on creatures stats now its worse than before... more boring...more mistakes...more players quitting the game.

I hope to see change on XP formula gained from creatures... I think there's an old thread in forum about it ... just lets hope HCs getting faster on fixing this game before its turn like sigmastorm2...

The stamina required for a level has indeed gone out of hand.
The problem lies in this: for every time your level doubles, the XP that creatures give increases 4 four times. But for every time your level doubles, the required XP per level increases 8-fold. So every time your level doubles, the required amount of stamina per level also doubles.

It could be fixed by lowering the steep increase in the "required XP per level" formula or by raising the slower increase in the "amount of XP per creature" formula.

Hoof said he'd look into the problem a while ago and he's talking about the next content update (level 1151+).

We'll take a look at the xp formula when we release the next content update :)

The quote is a link to the topic in which he mentioned this.

Exactly my thinking Maehdros. I have been trying to get hades to level, but why would he want to when XP is so bloody broken? I have stopped expecting HCS to do anything useful, and I think many players share my same attitude.

I am nowhere close to EoC, but the math is solid and something should be done to fix this.

HCS seems to care very little lately. I mean come on, they can't even fix the smallest of smallest bugs in the game while there's a stickied thread open pointing it out for them where and what the bugs are.

Let alone fix the XP formula.. That's too high reached for them apparently.

And the thing is, EoC players have been suffering through this stupid xp issue for well over 200 levels now. So what will HCS do to compensate us for all that Stamina we used? My prediction is absolutely nothing

I agree last 50 levels on content have been annoying stam and time wise to go through. Hopefully next 50 are better....

Plus something needs to be done about the quests.. Killing 250+ creatures for each part of the quest is making you sub level...Just another annoyance I guess :(

The fact that I can hunt with AL 500, Lib 500, and Conserve 500 and use only like 3,000 stam a level is also BS. Why should I have to drop some excess FSP on super pots just so leveling isn't totally ridiculous?

You know, I'm assuming that there will never be a permanent fix to the f'ed up XP formula. When you guys introduce a band aid and not a complete fix, please make your new super pots will be available as a loyalty award. I have a stupid amount of loyalty tokens, and buying keys and pots won't ever use all my tokens. Please introduce better loyalty rewards for those of us who have helped make this game what it is.

Not too lnog ago a number of EOC players were complaining leveling had gotten too easy. So hcs looked at it the way they usually do, and fixed it accordingly. Selling fsp to make a profit seems to be their main goal above all else. This change fit right in with that.

People ask me why I'm doing anything and everything with my stam to avoid levelling...I'll just point them in the direction of this thread.

I was (and still am in favour of making levelling more challenging) but upping creatures xp to force 2 hitting is soul destroying not challenging.

Its still easy, no thought is required to levelling still (which is what was asked for). Its just been made so mind numbing, many wont bother.

Leveling was boring, so they were like "oh, okay...lets make it so EoC players have to use MORE stam to make a level. Surely they will buy FSP! DERP" It is such a f'ed up situation. I just hope that other EoC players like myself have stopped donating. Hell, I hope everyone has stopped donating because of this issue.

I'm not arguing with that other than to say leveling has always been mind numbing to me. :(

There is a huge difference between "mind-numbing" and "Ridiculous". WE never once asked for a fix in critters so that more stam would be needed to level. We asked for a challenge which means finding gear to one-hit and not having to use the same attack set-up for a billion levels. This includes HCS releasing critters that are harder to kill, BUT they should also introduce gear that makes it so we can one hit with it. IE: armor/damage maybe.

A variety in stats AND new gear that would be needed to one-hit these critters. I will also add in this edit that the most recent elite sets are useless. Actually, the last like 60 elite sets have been useless. I have them all and use none.

I know what you all asked for, and i remember thinking if they did anything about it it wouldn't be good. Like i said, bringing in more money seems to be their major factor in game upgrades. it's been that way for a couple years now. But is getting more pronounced as time goes by. If you want a portion of the game changed think long and hard before proposing it on the forum. You might just get it changed, but not how you expect. :(

Money says one of the admins replies and says "we will look into this, thanks for bringing it to our attention." And then does nothing. Theyre currently too busy releasing a bunch of LE's that weren't needed in the first place. Are you effing kidding me? Owl eye was the last LE. I bet they went outside, grabbed the first homeless guy they saw and let him pick out based only on pictures.

So yeah, while this is a valid complaint that will push a lot of people out of the game, there won't be a valid response. You would most certainly think they'd want to keep their money base for that game they were suppose to release by now, but instead, you piss them off for some 500+ levels. Smart.
