Many of us have come to Love the new 1000 buff Severe condition with regards to its uses in pvp, especially for armor set ups. ( reflection is nasty armor killer) And as many have seen, the larger total stat points you can achieve , the more possible total HP you achieve.Normal HP.. ie base hp.. or Gear with HP as a stat, is effected by the wither buff(+0.2% per point chance of a 50% reduction of your opponents HP at the start of combat., which at #175 = 35% chance of activation)

HOWEVER, severe condition(+0.25% per point of your attack, defense, damage and armor stats are transferred to your health at the start of combat.) and Fortitude (17.5% of total defense = HP, are NOT effected by wither. I think the cows should tweak wither so it effects ALL HP. A rather simple fix, which I feel is needed to balance the playing field a bit with regards to the massive amounts of attainable HP with this buff( 20000 + HP is crazy O.o even if kinda cool lol) And also would add more chance in combats and make wither VERY useful for pvp.

Bloodthirst buff effects SC HP, however ignite and poison do NOT( they only effect base HP per round of combat). Can this be looked into as well?

Anyways, anyone reading this thread give thoughts and feedback on Wither VS severe condition and fortitude, and how you think it should effect it. Thanks!

I have known this since the day after SC was introduced...never said anything because figured cows wanted it to activate like this for a reason. I'm fine either way...would make it a wee bit easier to clear you higher level players off bb when wearing SC if wither activated. But if left alone it makes ladders more interesting and can make BB defending very very fun.

I;ve Known it since the first day also, ( and add in knowing about chi strike working with it since then too) But i felt a thread would be an ideal way to get opinions since i know tickets have been done about the buff and how hcs wants it to work, yet they have gotten no response.

Either way... Wither is supposed to half HP, an in the above situations.. and buffs.. it isn't. HCS should change the description of how wither works if they feel it is working as it should now.Since it only effects BASE hp.

How about NO. Wither can afect my normal hp, but shoud NOT afect my hp from severe condition. 1 buff should not cut ALL my stats in 1/2 which is what wither would do if it affected SC.

Why shouldn't it? SC reduces total stats by a set % (after flinch, DC constitution,NMV etc)and transfers them to HP.

Wither ONLY reduces HP by 50%.It doesnt cut all stats in half ;)

Finally HP plays a bigger role in pvp, i dont see the issue with wither activating ( chance buff)

How about YES?

IF one or two buffs(SC and Fort) can raise my HP, surely there should be a buff(Wither) that counters that/those buffs WHEN it kicks.

SC is a game breaking buff if used correctly and needs to have some weakness (a la wither) IMO, so I voted yes.

I'll say NO :)

This is one of those buffs that can make you almost unbeatable when used properly-and it seems that more and more players are counting on luck in PvP- I hate that...

But...I am against bunch of buffs-so ignore me :)

Yes and wait at 1200 or 1400 when stats become Doubled, and more buffs similar to savagery become available( thus increasing HP), or HP is doubled in combats.... with NO weakness. As has been said.. if HP can be increased with a buff... it should also be weakened by a buff.

Ok, so let me get this straight.... "at the start of combat" Severe Condition takes a percentage of all your stats and transfers them in to HP....just for fun let's say it takes it from 100 to 500 HP. And at the same time "at the start of combat" your opponent's Wither buff activates and reduces your HP in half. Since they both happen at exactly the same time wouldn't it make sense that your new HP would be 250 now, "at the start of combat"?? Seems to me the two things happen simultaneously and therefore should not act independently. Seems to me it would be something like you turning on a light in your living room at the exact same time that someone flipped the dimmer switch.

Seems to me no one buff should make anyone almost unbeatable, what's the skill in that? So that as a reason to keep it I find strange for a pvp-er. I am also thinking counting on an 'unbeatable' buff is nearly worse than counting on luck, in pvp. But everyone to their own.

Also agreed with Maeh, wither affecting HP would not cut all stats in half automatically, at the max would lose 43%, but is very interesting at virtually any percentage, depending on gear.

Voted yes.

The new 1200 buffs high guard, and golden shield activate BEFORE severe condition, and increase hp even more ;) another reason for wither to work.
