Example: I can't get enough dam to 1-hit people in my ladder bracket when they're wearing certain setups with certain levels of SC. Now that's just messed up to start with but at least with wither I would increase my chances of getting through their HP and hopefully deal a winning blow.

Smashing hammer ? no way cant get enough damage with this
I had maximum damage I can achieve at my level (not counting LUPs). Was 4k damage short to have a shot at 1-hitting.

What I mean is that I can't even kamikaze hit them, i.e not prioritizing surviving in favor of being able to hit a stronger opponent. I know it's no fun but if you can't pass their attack or survive in armor you kinda have to kill them on the first blow or rely on luck

I think all buffs like that need remake IMO if we have to look for removing luck

buffs should work as described. Wither reduces HP. No reason why it shouldnt effect SC or fortitude.
That's why I sent in a ticket asking if it's supposed to work like that, no response as usual (i.e a copy-paste & I've informed the coders message).

How about YES?
IF one or two buffs(SC and Fort) can raise my HP, surely there should be a buff(Wither) that counters that/those buffs WHEN it kicks.
+ 1
One might say this should be common sense, but than again I've also been told that common sense is not all so common...
This is another good idea, that should have been this way since the beginning Severe Condition was introduced into the community... Thank God, the admins have us to help point theses things out that were obviously over looked.

Chazz

Ok, so let me get this straight.... "at the start of combat" Severe Condition takes a percentage of all your stats and transfers them in to HP....just for fun let's say it takes it from 100 to 500 HP. And at the same time "at the start of combat" your opponent's Wither buff activates and reduces your HP in half. Since they both happen at exactly the same time wouldn't it make sense that your new HP would be 250 now, "at the start of combat"?? Seems to me the two things happen simultaneously and therefore should not act independently. Seems to me it would be something like you turning on a light in your living room at the exact same time that someone flipped the dimmer switch.
Dale, doesn't Dark Curse and Constitution work the same way. Someone decreases your defense at the start of combat and at the same time it increases with constitution. Your point is invalid since it already exists.
There needs to be balance and that is the point of the original poster. I recently experienced this first hand and was unable to get enough damage to overcome their armor and HP, regardless of gear and buffs. Where is the fun in that?
