way higher level in how? everyone has the same +/-10 level range to contend with when it comes to targets for gold

heres a few suggestions

plan your hunt out ahead of time, figure out what you need to kill and what stats you'll need...then figure out what you'll need for the next hunt and have that stuff ready to search on auctions and buy it as soon as you have the right amount of gold..or in potion bazaar

with 2300 stamina it's not as if your buffs will expire in the 2 seconds it takes to post a marketplace request once you hit 180k gold either

you have a bank deposit, might as well use it

deflect

guild member can hold it, especially a higher level one who can safely hold more gold

...or...find out who plans to attack you and send him the gold before he hits you and save your xp in the process

IMO current PvP protection is good, as PvP is somewhat broken. (yes, I am leveler, and thus whiner) Way I see, PvP is broken due few reasons: KE + DC render any defece based setups useless, attacker can just focus getting enough armor or defence depending which stat is lower on target. Bounty Board just doesn't work, as PvP'rs can do 'free' hits while they are in BB. Multiple hit, person can be hit every hour while h/she is offline (work, school, sleep, irl), and still only one bounty is available. You PvP's prolly can tell what else is broken on BB.

Oh, and removing PvP protection would rise fsp price skyhigh, as everyone would dump their gold while they hunt, as currently PvP'r don't take any notice on BB.

When i hunt when i get 185,000 i convert it to fsp then continue, i rarely get hit anymore. Do attack some people though . Might not get as much as sin but i make a few fsp.

yeah, at the moment you get 185k, but if PvP protection would be removed, levelers would (try to) sell their gold as fast as possible, so that would seriously inflate MP. We'd be soon over 350k

If PvP protection was removed we'd not see the average price go up that much, but we'd see more volatility (i.e. the prices would jump up and down more often). So instead of having a price go as high and as low as 165k-190k with an average of 180k in a day it would then go more like 150k-210k with an average of 180k-185k.
People with a high risk would have to sell their FSP quick so they raise the price (mostly lower level players as there are more gold thieves there). Others will wait for the price to rise to buy the gold they still need (for scavenging, forging, etc.). The price will still rise when there are a lot of (lower level) hunters at once compared to gold buyers, but it will drop when there are a lot less (lower level) hunters compared to gold buyers.
And when the price is low it's a good time for the hunters that have a lot less risk of losing their gold (mostly higher level players) to sell their gold.

Overall, there is still the same amount of gold that is brought into the game and taken out of so the average price will stay roughly the same.
But the lower level players will face higher prices.
The higher level players will have lower prices.
The gold buyers with a bit of patience get more gold for their FSP.
The gold buyers with less patience will get less gold (on average) for their FSP.

Is the OP still showing us that he doesn't understand how to play FS yet? Insulting players by calling them names does nothing but show his immaturity. Step away from the keyboard, take a deep breath, and think about what words you use. All I see is another unhappy person taking the GAME WAY TOO SERIOUSLY!

No. Prior PvP protection was introduced, gold price rised like 20 to 40k every year, now it has been pretty stable, actually lowered or past year. On higher leveles, yes, there are fewwer targets, but that also means less players to keep eyes open for. See high level player starting to hunt w/o protection, wait until he has accumulated suitable amount gold in his hand, say like when he is about to run out of his stamina or buff, and hit.

Way I see is that PvP protection was introduce 'cos BB failed its original purpose, also PvP is way too easy as there is no practical way for player to defend himself on determined PvP'r.

The MP price was pretty stable a few weeks ago at 190k-200k...
And before two years ago there weren't many gold sinks; most of them have been introduced in the last two years and they decreased the rising of the MP price.

When I joined at the end of 2008 the prices of FSP were around 125k, in the middle of 2009 I saw them rise to 140k-150k (after this the scavenging caves were introduced and had LEs weekly for half a year). In the middle of 2010 the prices had risen to 155k-165k. Between now and a few weeks ago (the middle of 2011) they were fluctuating between 175k and 200k.

Looks like a pretty stable 20k-25k yearly increase to me...
