I am picturing the same herd pondering a different way to do this, as such a simple solution has been offered by players.

Just a thought here - I may have this wrong so please correct me if I do.

-If a player has permission to use TKP, the item gets bought and goes into the guild mailbox, untagged.
-The item then has to be transferred, untagged, to the guild store to be tagged or taken out for sale.

Essentially, doesn't the TKP restriction simply add another layer in between winning the item and it being in the store? There still seems to be a point where the item is sitting, untagged, in the store.

The same risk applies when untagging a titan item for sale (even if autotagged). There will still be a point where an untagged item is available in the store. I personally favour the auto-tag option as it provides the same level of security as the TKP option but with the added satisfaction of getting the 'Your guild has been rewarded with the item X. It has been placed in the guild store' message in the log!

I think what they are getting at is that if it goes directly to the mailbox, it could sit there for hours before claimed.

If you go the TKP route (same applies for untagging), then you can set things up so it is close to instant.

Although, being able to untag guild from your own backpack (if you have rights) would prevent this. This has been suggested before quite a few times.

With TKP points added instead of item appearing whenever the titan is killed off, it means a possible thief would have to sit there waiting for someone to go buy the item with the points.

I know thievery exists, but not as if it goes on every day, lol, and you'd hope some founders would be wise enough to keep an eye on their members. As it is, if any of the guilds want to sell the item, it also needs to be untagged, if it got tagged automatically, gives the same opportunity for thieves.

Adding points is a very easy solution, don't make it more difficult, it's just going to take longer for anything at all to happen, and is as secure as you can get it.

Also, the points make it easier for guilds with little storage to keep the item in points, rather than as an item, until such time when they want to sell it, if selling is their aim.

Precisely - what I'm saying is that TKPs and auto-tagging are much of a muchness when it comes to security - just that TKPs don't have the 'prize' factor of obtaining a drop and that I'd prefer an item to come tagged. That way a guild member could at least get some stamina from it whilst waiting for the leadership to come on and make a decision on selling.

On the 'limited space' front I would argue that it's no different to a Super Elite drop - you have the responsibility to manage your store appropriately so that you have space for all your items :)

I think either method would work just fine, and would not grumble about either being implemented as soon as possible!

[Side note: I think every store manager would love to be able to untag items in their pack for that added security layer]

Like I said, either option works for me.

My number 1 preference would be for a tagged item to go into the guild store (no tagging cost) as a tangible reward for the win. The guild mailbox should be used only if there is no guild store space, and then it's up to the guild to sort out their own store.

TKPs do accomplish the same end - I'm just a bit old fashioned in that the drop appearing matters, whereas for others this won't be the case.

Just to reiterate - either solution is perfect functionally, so I'd love to see one of them in the next update.

[Aside]
